The Service Engineer is responsible to perform all medical devices maintenance according to GDPMDS requirement. The incumbent also has to establish good rapport, both externally with customers/vendors and internally amongst colleagues.
- Schedule preventive maintenance for each equipment
This involves proper planning with early coordination with customers on equipment to be maintained. Maintenance should be performed based on Manufacturer’s recommended protocol with full and accurate documentation of results and/or results of activities performed.
- Factory Modification (if required)
Work closely with Supervisor to carry put the above activity whenever required.
- Normal Installation & Commissioning
This involves proper planning with early coordination with customers on equipment to be installed. Commissioning should be performed based on Manufacturer’s recommended protocol with full and accurate documentation of results and/or results of activities performed. This activity includes unpacking of new equipment, performance of functional pre-checks on equipment prior to delivery, assistance in preparation of ‘Delivery Documents’.
- Troubleshooting and repair work to diagnose and resolves equipment problem through:
- Prioritization and planning of work to be done
- Communicate (with customer) on estimated time of arrival
- Escalating problems whenever appropriate
- Accurately report service data with acknowledgement by customer on work performed
- Liaising and working with manufacturers to address service issues to resolve technical problems
- Prepare service quotations to customers’ enquiries (working closely with supervisor)
- Identifying work opportunities and preparing or assisting with the preparation of technical proposals as required.
- Constantly possess good initiative, with desire for continuous learning.
- Able to take on standby (or any unanticipated operational support) duties during out of office hours.
