We are looking for a self-starter, working closely with business analysts, testers, infrastructure and other FNZ departments, to ensure our software is world class.

The key responsibilities will include:

• Investigating errors in live production platforms.
• Researching and fixing software defects.
• Developing code, scripts, and schema to solve complex technical issues.
• Investigating problems in databases and web applications.
• Dealing with software performance issues.
• Communicating with Analysts and Testers.
• Automating manual processes.
• Working in a group of highly skilled Developers to resolve production issues.

Personal attributes, experience & qualifications:

• Good understanding of OOP and ability to debug software.
• All our platforms are built using Microsoft technologies so experience with C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET is ideal to have.
• Experience with writing SQL for Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Willingness to learn new things is important as there is a lot to learn and master.
• Logical thinking is crucial. You should enjoy solving puzzles.
• IT education with at least a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

These are also an advantage (but not a must have):

• Knowledge of ITIL.
• Experience with JavaScript and HTML.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Resharper.
• Experience in any automation tool.

Role Description

Production Support Manager provides direct line management for a team that undertakes application support for FNZ business.

Acting as the guardian of Production, the Production Support Manager works with internal stakeholders to champion quality change and takes ownership of outcomes to improve team effectiveness, operational efficiency, and an excellent client experience.

Team Responsibilities

The team are responsible for:

• Application Support – ensure that the application is working correctly as deployed.
• Incident & Problem Management – analysis, investigation, diagnosis, and problem solving to identify, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Release & Change Management – support testing and release process for production fixes.
• Service Transition – facilitate the transition between project support and production support for all change.
• Service Level Management – support the Service Managers in delivering FNZ services within KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations.

Specific Role Responsibilities

• Manages individuals and groups including allocation of responsibilities and/or packages of work to and ensure agreed service levels are met.
• Sets performance targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria to provide input into formal performance management processes.
• Provides effective feedback throughout the performance management cycle, to improve overall team performance.
• Proactively works to ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those whom the team interacts with.
• Determines the risks associated with audit findings and non-compliance and proposes corrective actions.
• Evaluates risks to the integrity of the service inherent in proposed implementations and provides advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Reviews the effectiveness of change implementation, suggests improvement to organizational procedures governing change management.
• Ensures that a catalogue of available services is created and maintained and that service level agreements are complete and cost effective.
• Establishes and maintains operational methods, processes and procedures and reviews them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Manages application enhancements to improve business performance.
• Other tasks: To undertake any other projects/ tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the production environment.

Performance Assessment

Availability – uptime during core and non-core hours

Performance – performance metrics during core and non-core hours

Reliability – test results and performance during real failure events

KPI reporting – performance against team KPIs and individual KPIs as agreed.

Experience / Attributes Required

• Degree preferable in either Commerce/IT or a related field; or equivalent.

As a production Support Analyst, you’ll provide application support for our business. We are looking for a self-starter, an expertise in issue management, addressing concerns from both external and internal clients to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). A core aspect of your role involves ensuring the seamless functioning of the application as deployed, emphasizing proactive and reactive measures to champion continuous service improvement.

You will be a member of a critical team who -

• Provide Application Support - ensuring that the application is working correctly as deployed.
• Supporting Incident & Problem Management – analysis, investigation, diagnosis and problem solving to identify, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Release & Change Management – support testing and release process for production fixes.
• Service Transition – facilitate the transition between project support and production support for all changes.
• Service Level Management – support the Service Managers in delivering FNZ services within KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations.

The responsibilities will include:

• Identifies and resolves issues with applications, following agreed procedures.
• Carries out agreed application maintenance tasks.
• Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution, escalating as appropriate. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures. Analyses causes of incidents and provides recommendations to minimize probability of recurrence and contribute to service improvement. Initiates and monitors actions to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes, and services.
• Determines problem fixes and assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
• Ensures that such problems are fully documented within the relevant reporting systems.
• Collaborates with colleagues, operational/client-servicing staff and other users to produce long term scalable solutions that adhere to procedural and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Works with developers, other analysts and testers to ensure that production fixes and business process changes are fit for purpose.
• Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for application support. Other tasks: To undertake any other projects/ tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the production environment.

As Production Support Lead, you will be the go-to person for our client. Your responsibilities extend to overseeing the intricate landscape of issue management, addressing concerns from both external and internal clients to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). A core aspect of your role involves managing the workflow, ensuring the seamless functioning of the application as deployed, emphasizing proactive and reactive measures to champion continuous service improvement.

Your expertise comes to the forefront in Incident & Problem Management, where you lead the analysis, investigation, diagnosis, and problem-solving efforts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues. Additionally, your involvement in Release & Change Management is crucial, as you support the testing and release processes for production fixes. Facilitating the transition between project support and production support during Service Transition is a key responsibility, ensuring a smooth flow of operations.
