In Ingevity’s Engineering Co-op program, you’ll have the unique opportunity to apply your problem-solving and technical skills to increase safety, efficiency, reliability and productivity in our manufacturing environments. You’ll have the chance to tackle real world, value-added projects that support production and project engineering throughout a plant. In this role, safety and teamwork are key as you innovate and improve processes and troubleshoot problems.
Ingevity’s Engineering Co-op is structured around two-three rotations ranging in average length from three-six months per term. Each Co-op term is typically separated with an academic term in between to allow for mutual learning and application of engineering concepts both to your academic and real-world learning. Candidates who apply should be available for multiple terms and should consult with their academic advisor on their availability and ability to participate in such a program.
Ingevity’s co-ops are full-time positions and participants should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8AM-5PM. Specific norms around working hours may vary based on occasional project assignments and will be communicated by your manager. Anticipated start date is August/September 2024.

How you will impact Ingevity:
The Business Planning Intern position provides the opportunity to work with a leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and performance carbon materials. The purpose of this internship is to provide real world experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. The intern will have the opportunity for meaningful contributions to Ingevity’s Performance Materials business segment in the Customer Success department. By the end of your assignment, our mission is to have positively impacted your curriculum and career goals in preparation for life after college.
This position will be based at Ingevity’s headquarters in North Charleston, SC. This position is flexible for both full-time and/or part-time for actively enrolled college students.

We’re looking for a dynamic, seasoned leader with extensive experience in leading technical product development and research teams within a carbon manufacturing company across a global footprint. Position Overview:
Ingevity is seeking a confident, self-motivated accounting associate for its plant accounting group. This is a vitally important position within a dynamic business. During the initial 6-12 months, this position will be 100% on-site, physically located in the plant. After initial onboarding and training is complete, considerations can be made to transition into a hybrid role. In this role, you will be depended on for supporting the plant accounting and production teams in North Charleston. The main areas of focus will be weekly timekeeping, processing and assisting with accounts payable processing and receiving, and working with plant accounting on production entry, verification, and reporting. This is a “hands on” role for someone who works well with all levels of employees. You must be comfortable working collaboratively in a high-performance production culture and adept at driving improvements within our existing systems and functions.

Position Overview:
This role will report to the Accounting Close Manager. A successful candidate would be a self-motivated and experienced accountant with a constant drive for process improvement. Interest in developing detailed knowledge/ownership in systems (SAP S4 HANA, Blackline, Coupa) is critical to success in this role. The ability to work on projects across diverse groups is required. Chemical Plant Operator – North Charleston Plant
As a Chemical Plant Operator at the North Charleston Plant you will have the opportunity to join a highly engaged team that takes pride in working safely and producing chemicals that are used to enhance the world around us such as emulsifiers, rosin, tall oil fatty acid (TOFA), and lignin. The North Charleston Plant started operation in 1948, and today employees approximately 200 team members.
Starting wages for our hourly team members is $23.72 and increases to $25.35 after having completed a probationary period. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Prescription, Vision, Life Insurance, Accident and Sickness, 401k, Short Term Incentive, Vacation, 13 Paid Holidays, and Tuition Reimbursement.
12 hour rotating shift work plus availability for overtime will be required. This facility is an outdoor plant environment.
