Purpose

Act as the site microbiology subject matter expert; provide microbiologist expertise and develop monitoring strategy and operation framework.

Ensure that all site utilities, water, environmental monitoring and product testing activities are properly analysed and executed, and the results recorded in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and regulatory requirements that meet the defined quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all water, environmental monitoring, site utilities and product testing samples are analysed and tested according to the stipulated quality requirements so as to provide accurate test results for correct usage decisions. Develops a strategy for the site with respect to environmental monitoring and water systems. Perform microbiological risk assessment for all non-sterile products.
• Work with relevant functions to support method validation / verification for micro related methods, ensuring that the activities are carried out in accordance to the required standards and procedures.
• Ensures that external service providers and suppliers for microbiology laboratory are managed in accordance to GSK requirements.
• Contribute to the formulation and development of the operational framework of the labs (framework covers testing protocol, SOP, and other operational policies, procedures and guidelines), and implement the approved plan.
• Contribute and occasionally lead site and corporate projects in line with specifications and budget allocation.
• Ensure a safe working environment for the laboratory and perform 5S and Zoning inspection.
• Supervise, develop, and motivate assigned analysts to help realize their maximum potential so as to contribute towards achieving the objectives of the department.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, perform L1 audit and support L2/L3/L4 audit as Microbiology Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the Compliance review of Pharmacopoeia & ATS and to ensure In place and In use of the Pharmacopoeia / ATS / QMS requirement.
• Lead or participate in investigation arising from micro related and utilities investigation, incidents and accurately assess the impact of the failure so as to make appropriate recommendations on remedial actions for follow-up.
• Work with the relevant R&D groups to support micro related activities and micro risk assessment for New Product Introduction, ensuring that the activities are carried out in accordance to the required standards and procedures.
• Work closely with external staff and at line level to enable the localization and transfer of technology / knowledge / methodologies into standard order fulfillment activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Min degree in microbiology, chemistry, or life sciences
• Min 3 years of experience in an analytical environment in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
• Experience in GMP

About the Role

Your role will be varied and will include:

• Responsible for all the procurement negotiations for the project and lead the development and implementation of Contracting Strategy and Procurement Plan including the use of appropriate forms for of contract and compensation models Provide inputs related to Contracting and Procurement timelines to the overall Project schedule. • Manages the competitive bidding, evaluation, and award process & budget allocations of project. Support legal team with contract negotiation.
• To consider the implications of the project on future Procurement resource requirements, including consideration of Procurement requirements and staffing levels and training of Procurement staff.

About you?

To be successful in the role, you need to have been successful in a similar pharma industry procurement role where your exposure was on a similar scale to our business, which has a global multinational supply footprint.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or business administration

As a Senior Biotechnologist in our Value Stream, you will participate in the preparation, operation and completion of assigned process stages to ensure the production of bulk drug substances is within establish timing and quality standards. • Provide inputs to Periodic Product Review, Computer System Review and Cleaning Validation Review, Engineering Technical Review.
• Support the Production Manager in new product introduction or plant trials and prepare and complete all necessary documents related to plant trial within the stipulated timeline.
• Participate in the qualification works at OQ and PQ phases.
• Provide M-ERP Support as BPE if assigned.
• Raise and coordinate change control implementation and follow up on closure of change control.
• Ensure availability of equipment, tools, production consumables, transfer of input materials as part of campaign preparation and follow up on ensuring housekeeping of above upon campaign ending.

Purpose

The successful candidate is to maintain and repair all mechanical and rotating equipment. Keep all equipment in the best operating condition and minimizing equipment breakdown and optimizing cost.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Engineering: Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems.

• To maintain / support inspection readiness of the systems to ensure audit compliance with regulatory, safety and engineering standards.
• To use the SAP PM module for maintenance records, maintenance history records and information search.
• To develop / support standard work for technicians and perform Gemba and problem solving to ensure adherence and improvement to the technician standard work.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Purpose

To manage a team of technicians/junior staff in a specific engineering discipline (Instrumentation) to ensure timely implementation of projects and plant availability at all times.

Key Responsibilities Area

1. Carry out implementation activities for plant modifications, capital projects and other identified plant improvement projects in line with defined specifications, budget and qualification of facilities in accordance with site to approved procedures.

2. Provides specialist advice to other departments and subordinates for trouble shooting / continuous improvements to processes / systems.

3. Maintain the site equipment and facility to high GMP standard meeting the regulatory expectations such that the site is always inspection ready.

4. Implementation and execute of the Product Contamination Cause and Elimination (PCCE) program.

6. Provide site inputs to the development of Global Engineering Standards (GES).

Purpose

• Liaise with Suppliers to ensure solvents and reagents are delivered promptly. Work with Laboratory and Quality to ensure the scheduling of solvents and reagent test/release is aligned to the production plan
• Work with Solvent Recovery team for the delivery of bulk solvent tankers.
• Work with ALab for testing, QO for batch release and Warehouse / Logistics for shipments of API.
• Drive SLOBs governance process, working closely with Technical Development, Value Stream, Finance and Global Planning to achieve site inventory target.
• Carry out self audit on demand activities to ensure compliance with authorised procedures and policies. Ensure good cGMP and check to ensure data accuracy for the whole MRP process.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Operations Technician / Senior Operations Technician 1:

The incumbent operates all equipment and facilities in his assigned area safely and efficiently and keeps the same in good state of maintenance. He works closely in a team, keeping in close contact and in particular, highlights all items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.

Senior Operations Technician 2 / 3:

The incumbent is primarily responsible for smooth, safe and efficient operations of assigned process stages. He ensures associated facilities are kept in good maintenance. He assists the production superintendent in giving work directions to technicians and deputies for the superintendent from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Performs batch / unit or ancillary operations safely and efficiently following standard operating procedures and as necessary, leads technicians in unit operations. Takes in process samples and carries out checks using analytical instruments.
• Do routine mechanical and lubrication checks and where required, carries out early maintenance and repair using hand tools.
• Performs materials handling and movement using hand-pallet trucks, reach truck or other material handling equipment in a safe manner, following standard operating procedures.
• Ensures that batch and operating log sheets are correctly recorded and complied. Follows Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles when executing instructions and recording data, and adheres to Document Error management procedures if document error is observed.
• Communicates clearly with his superintendent and colleagues and at the end of his shift, hand-over to his senior operations technician highlighting production status and any items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Do engineering-related work with technicians during process runs, plant configuration during the campaign change over or maintenance using hand-tools. E.g.: filters change, equipment replacement and other plant-care type engineering work. Prepares plant and equipment for engineering maintenance.
• Inspects and maintains house-keeping of his assigned area for clean and safe working conditions as well as ensuring that personal protection equipment, safety and fire-fighting equipment are maintained ready for use.
• Carries out fire fighting / first-aid duties as assigned and trained.
• Perform plant trouble shooting using appropriate problem solving tool to minimize plant stoppages and safety or quality incidents. Raise improvement ideas and implement initiatives to support department objectives.
• Carries out other related duties as assigned by the superintendent, production leader or senior technicians.

Senior Operations Technician 1: (Additional responsibilities areas)

• Assists superintendent in conducting formal and practical training for technicians.
• Carries out other related duties as assigned by the production superintendent.

Senior Operations Technician 2 / 3: (Additional responsibilities areas)

• He is a stage leader who provides guidance and assigned tasks to operations technicians during process operations. He is to ensure that batch and operating log sheets are correctly recorded and complied and ensure the tasks assigned to operations technicians are executed in accordance with cGMP requirement. He checks the executed documentation in his process train for documentation errors during taking over and handing over of shift. He is to ensure documentation errors observed are to be managed according to Good Documentation Practices and Document Error management procedures and to escalate to Superintendent if GxP document instructions cannot be executed according to ALCOA+ principles.
• He uses computer applications e.g.: M-ERP (as per role assigned) and other network operating systems as required.
• Maintains clear communications with his superintendent and technicians and at the end of shift, hand over to his on-coming colleagues highlighting plant status and any items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Leads and guides his technicians in engineering related work during campaign change over or maintenance using hand tools.
• Responds with his team in controlling hazardous and emergency situations in line with company and departmental procedures.
• If necessary, he will be nominated to deputise for his superintendent. Responsibilities as deputy include issuance of Permit to Work or perform plant release inspection as deemed necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Min Diploma in Engineering
• Min 2 years of experience in Pharmaceutical or Life science industry
• Experience in good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety procedures
• Trouble shooting skill
• Basic awareness of industrial standards
• Good knowledge in maintenance and operating principles of production and utility equipment.
• Plant inspection skills (for Superintendent deputy role, as needed).
• Good knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems and Risk Assessment (for Superintendent deputy role, as needed).

Purpose

Engineers in this category are expected to be responsible and accountable for the operation and/or maintenance of the system in their respective areas.

Role-related competencies and technical skills are necessary for their success.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Automation System operate smoothly and deliver the required reliability and availability level.
• Support all routine planned maintenance activities under the Automation team are completed on schedule.
• Complete any breakdown repair, troubleshooting and ensuring corrective action / preventive action (CAPA) is in place to eliminate similar breakdown.
