The Associate Director, Alumni Career Services & Hoya Gateway is a critical member of the Alumni Relations team, primarily supporting Hoya Gateway, Georgetown’s premier alumni networking program. They lead and support the planning, development, and implementation of career development programs, services, and volunteer opportunities for Georgetown’s 200,000+ alumni while benefitting and positively impacting current students.

The Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) is Georgetown’s center for teaching excellence, technology, innovation, assessment, learning analytics, and research.
Job Overview
The Department Administrator provides essential support for a wide range of administrative and financial operations at the Georgetown’s Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship. Their support is critical for the successful facilitation and execution of the numerous programs and projects across CNDLS.
Specific areas of responsibility include payments, purchasing, contracts, reimbursements, procurement card reconciliations, recruitment and onboarding processes, student hiring, suite maintenance, and logistical support for events and meetings.
In carrying out these duties, the Department Administrator stays abreast of University administrative policies and procedures and regularly liaises with other campus offices.

The Office of Administration – situated in the Office of Advancement - is the central intake for all philanthropic commitments made to Georgetown University. The Senior Program Administrator - in a three-year term role - supports the academic and administrative operations within the CAS Dean’s Office. Specifically, they provide executive support to the Chief of Staff and Vice Deans for Faculty Affairs on a variety of sensitive matters.
Duties include but are not limited to scheduling meetings, coordinating activities and processes, and compiling data on matters such as faculty rank and tenure, promotions, and recruitment. As well, they provide logistical support for the College’s George F. Bakers Scholars Program, a 45-year-old signature, prestigious and distinctive program for CAS students, whereby students are relieved of loans and work study to perform valuable community service and prepared for careers in business and community-service-based entrepreneurship. The Senior Program Administrator serves as the initial point of contact for the program, manages the scholar selection process and student/alumni databases, and oversees the financial operations for the program.
They are necessarily highly organized - and able to manage shifting priorities, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines. As well, they must also work well under pressure and possess the ability to manage supporting multiple individuals with varying work styles.
Work Interactions and Work Mode
Reporting to the CAS Chief of Staff, the Senior Program Administrator interacts with CAS deans, faculty, staff and students, University offices (e.g., Advancement, Provost’s Office, Financial Affairs), and with external service providers or stakeholders, such as donors.
They work frequently and closely with the Dean’s Office designee for the Bakers Scholars Program, as well as with students, trustees and alumni of the program; and translate the program’s events needs to the Dean’s Office events lead to execute. Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Assistant Coach recruits, retains, supervises, and coaches NCAA Division I field hockey student-athletes, under the guidelines of Georgetown, the Patriot League and NCAA. The Assistant Coach will evaluate prospective student-athletes, analyze and determine their abilities and whether they may succeed athletically and academically at Georgetown. Will recommend or determine which prospective student-athletes the team should focus its time and resources to recruit, and contact and recruit such prospects. Additional duties include the monitoring of student-athlete academic performance; conducting, advising, and counseling student-athletes regarding performance and conduct; identifying and addressing student-athlete welfare issues; and, representing the University in donor/alumni public relations and community programs.

Georgetown University is seeking an MDI System Administrator to help continue to develop and support the Massive Data Institute (MDI) infrastructure. Their primary role setting up and maintaining big data infrastructure components on Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure; setting up and managing accounts; and helping MDI faculty run analyzes on these systems.
We will also create an on-campus GPU cluster that the Administrator will maintain.

The Director of Admissions opportunity is the first of its kind for MSB for our newly created Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) Dubai program - a role unique in its entailment of Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing and Business Development.
Principally, the Director is responsible for Recruitment and Yield, including preparing and delivering presentations about EMBA Dubai to prospective students and evaluating applications for admission. They conduct interviews with applicants to assess their academic ability, motivation and potential for success in the program. As well, the Director reviews each applicant’s resume and transcripts to determine whether they meet the admissions requirements for the school.
Secondly, the Director is responsible for Business Development - cultivating relationships with companies across the region. They work closely with our corporate development and executive education departments; and establish partnerships with various networks and institutions to secure sponsorships.
Thirdly, the Director is responsible for Admissions – for overseeing all administrative and operational activities and for supporting all admissions and data management processes related to the successful execution and recruitment of the EMBA Dubai program. They help to track all applications in the admissions database and provide continual reports on each applicant’s status and other timely admissions statistics. Following an admissions decision, they ensure a smooth transition from prospect to applicant status, at which point the Program Manager becomes the primary point-of-contact for all enrolled students.
Fourthly, the Director is responsible for Marketing - supporting all aspects of recruiting outreach, including creating the marketing strategy and recruitment plan, liaising with our external marketing firm and internal marketing department, and managing and executing the lead and applicant journey. They create and implement all procedures for recruitment outreach and follow-up with prospects; and ensures that all marketing content materials (both printed and online) are up to date and factually represent EMBA Dubai program goals.

Work Interactions
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategy and Development, the Director of Admissions Operations works closely with the MSB leadership team; and collaborates with the Deans/Directors/Associates of Admissions, Marketing, Program Development, Finance and Executive Education. Critical skills include time management, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a strong professional presence, a high level of attention to detail, an eye for process improvement, financial planning, negotiation and budget management.
A consummate professional, they become and remain knowledgeable about EMBA Dubai and all of MSB offerings to best guide prospects during their exploratory journey.
The Director interacts frequently with faculty, academic administration and staff throughout the McDonough School of Business – as well as with students and participants ranging in experience from mid-level managers to CEOs and, local government officials, and high-level political appointees.
