ERA Security Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced full time Accountant. ERA Security Pty Ltd is a Sydney based business specialising in the hospitality, events, residential, concierge and corporate sectors. As the Accountant of the business group, you will perform comprehensive account analysis, meticulous cost management, budgeting, adept financial reporting, and other crucial tasks aimed to improve the financial performance of the business.
Your expertise will play a pivotal role in facilitating the growth of our business and managing financial risks and compliance. This position attracts a base salary of $95,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities:
• Implement policies and procedures to optimise efficiency for the finance department, ensuring continual compliance, maintaining accurate records, and proactive planning and management.
• Prepare financial statements, including cash flow reports, budgeting, tax-related records, and other necessary reports for the business directors.
• Maximise cash flow by reducing the average collection period and improving the overall efficiency of the accounts receivables process.
• Manage financial relationships with subcontractors, debtors, and vendors regarding accounts and payments.
• Oversee and manage the reconciliation of the bank feeds to accurately match and account for all transactions, maintaining up-to-date records.
• Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations.
• Ensure timely lodgement of all tax obligations, adhering to regulatory deadlines and requirements to maintain compliance.
• Provide guidance and establish notifications for BAS processing to Directors and/or other obligated parties, ensuring awareness of tax and compliance deliverable deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations by staying up to date on changes and implementing necessary measures to align requirements.
• Review processes to analyse risk and make improvement where required.
• Built strong internal relationships with the department's leaders to ensure the financial policies and procedures are followed.
• Act in the best interests of the Group, always ensuring confidentiality, security, and integrity of financial information.
Skills or Experiences Required:
• Possess a bachelor’s degree qualification in accounting.
• Possess at least a relevant master’s degree or post graduate degree.
• Have at least 2 years full time experience in a comparable role.
• Business focus with commercial acumen.
• Experience and knowledge managing XERO accounting and Deputy rostering system.
• A near perfect attention to detail, analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently but efficiently connecting with people and work-teams.
