Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as Astrodynamics Engineer for the Satellite Custody and Characterization Program.
- Leads as the 15th Space Surveillance Squadron's astrodynamics SME and liaison to numerous USSF and external partners.
- Has familiarity and expertise across a broad set of technical areas, which include but are not limited to: astrodynamics, active-track, and advanced imaging and non-imaging space object identification.
- Applies expert knowledge and/or develops new methods to support validation, improvements, and application of current orbital propagation models in space surveillance and space object acquisition.
- Provides technical oversight and analysis for new/on-going Space Domain Awareness Research leveraging a vast array of telescopes, sensors, and computer systems.
- Implements decisions on investments of research funding toward developing novel SDA technology.
- Evaluates contractor, in-house/outside laboratory programs, ensuring technical accuracy of proposed solutions.
- Develops briefing materials to provide leadership, contractor partners and stakeholders on relevant program info.
- Provides insight into development of annual execution & programmatic requirements, while maintaining far-sighted vision of future site capability needs.
- Delivers inputs into programmatic metrics such as cost, schedule, performance, risk-opportunity management.

Starting at $70,183 Per Year (DR 2-3)
