Job Descriptions
- Administer and maintain the Company’s Safety and Health Management System (SS 651, ISO 45001, ISO 14001), Emergency Response Plan, ISO 9001 Quality systems and Site Security Program.
- Licensee holder for:
- NEA Hazardous Substance (HS) license
- Transport Approval (TA)
- Petroleum & Flammable Material (P&FM) storage and import license.
- Nominated as Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to oversee fire safety management in the premises.
- Validate Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Transport ERP (TERP) with SCDF.
- Plan, coordinate and manage management of change (MOC) and Pre-start up safety review (PSSR) process.
- Plan, review and monitor process safety management key performance indicators (PSM KPI).
- Establish, review and update SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Conduct, analyse & report incident investigations, and oversee recommendations for proper follow-up and closures.
- Create, review, update and manage safety data sheets (SDS) for all raw materials, finished products and trading products.
- Appointed as WSH Sub-committee and process safety sub-committee secretary.
- Plan, prepare and disseminate safety related communications to all employees and contractors.
- Plan, coordinate and manage contractors which may include but not limited to review of MSRA, training and competencies, performance evaluation and etc.
- Plan, prepare and submit SHE report.
- Promote and inculcate continuous improvement to the safety work culture within the plant.
- Participate in hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify, evaluate and control all hazards and risks associated with business activities.
- Any other duties as and when required to be done by superior.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety/ Science/ Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ relevant SHE experience, preferably in the process industries - chemical/ petrochemical/ pharmaceutical etc.
- MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer.
- Fire Safety Manager will be an added advantages.
- Possess Management of Hazardous Substance certificate.
- Detailed understanding & knowledge on regulatory and other requirements related workplace safety, health & environment.
- Strong technical experience in identifying, evaluating and controlling workplace hazards.
- Able to organize and carry out EHS-related training and group meeting.
