Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Automation Engineer is primarily responsible for the development and sustainability of PLC based automation control systems used for band-clamp installation tool in an industrial environment. This role will be heavily involved with New Product Development (NPD) and will effectively collaborate with internal cross-functional teams as well as manage 3rd party contractors in the development of software and hardware.
Reporting to: Product Engineering Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with product engineers and product managers in the design and development of PLC / HMI based products, focus on closed loop motor/motion control, Siemens preferred.
Project manage and work collaboratively with 3rd party contractors in the specification of components, development of hardware and software. Manage all aspects of the project including SOW generation, quoting, technical reviews, timeline, and verification testing.
Research new technologies that can be applied to the product portfolio to develop new products and/or improve existing ones. Perform benchmark, accelerated, laboratory, and field testing of new, existing, and/or competitive products.
Work with Product Managers and solicit Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to understand product applications and requirements; makes recommendations and integrate feedback into new or existing designs.
Work independently and with certifying bodies to ensure compliance with all regulations.
Generate, review, approve relevant documentation including 2D/3D drawings, schematics, process flow diagrams, BOM’s, etc.
Perform root cause investigations, advise, and implement solutions or mitigating actions.
Assist supply chain teams in sourcing, qualifying, and managing new and existing suppliers.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with applicable company processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Required Abilities:

Required: Experience programming PLC’s using IEC 61131-3 architecture and languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams. Strongly Preferred: experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
Required: Ability to integrate electrical designs and developments into mechanical assemblies, i.e. selecting and specifying components such as motors, encoders, load cells, sensors, etc. into existing designs and collaborating with mechanical engineering team on integration into new products. Preferred: experience with SolidWorks and/or PDM systems.
Required: Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) and post-processing / analysis. Labview a plus.
Required: Good time-management skills, able to prioritize work between multiple projects.
Required: Professionalism and strong business acumen, ability to collaborate and clearly communicate.
Preferred: Experience with Profinet/Ethernet communication in industrial automation settings.
Preferred: Experience in an industrial, high volume manufacturing environment such as automotive manufacturing.
Preferred: Experience with root-cause / corrective countermeasure (RCCM).
Preferred: Knowledge of Continuous improvement processes and facilitation.
Preferred: Experience with embedded system design including PCBA layout and/or software development.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited university required.
5 years relevant PLC / HMI based automation including motor / motion control, Siemens preferred.

The President will provide strategic, commercial, operational and technical leadership for BAND-IT. SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for overall planning, direction, leadership, results, and administration of the value streams in manufacturing. This position will require collaboration with the supply chain and sales team to balance priorities and meet customer demands in a changing and flexible environment while maintaining compliance. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools will be a key part of successfully reducing waste in production. The Value Stream Manager will drive team accountability through Lean Daily Management process and is responsible for managing key metrics including safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. Knowledge of ISO and/or other Quality Management Systems is a plus.
