Role overview
The ideal candidate will have expertise in APAC consumer behaviour, retail and marketing trends, business strategy and the future of online and physical retail. They will be exceptionally articulate in written English and visual communication and be highly skilled in interpreting global market shifts.
This role involves writing content in English.
You will research and write best-in-class analysis and forecast reports, such as yearly Asia shopper forecasts, everything from APAC-focused beauty, luxury and sustainability retail strategies to APAC’s evolving influencer landscape feeding into Insight’s global content strategy. You will contribute to and manage projects, providing direction in your area of expertise by building and maintaining strong, global cross-department relationships. You will be an industry expert and a go-to APAC resource for our team and our clients.
The team
Insight is WGSN’s fast-growing consumer trends content platform. Its mission is to ensure that WGSN’s clients capitalise on the business opportunities emerging from changing consumer attitudes and behaviours.
Key accountabilities
Content Direction. Strategise and schedule content according to the needs of clients and in line with current market and industry trends.
Content Production. Deliver concise written trend analysis reports showing a clear understanding of the subscribers’ needs.
Content Research. Support the Director and Head of Insight on any content research for anchor forecast reports and collaborative projects.
Content Presentation. Represent Insight for WGSN at client meetings, presentations, industry events and media engagements.
Generate report ideas. Research, create and deliver business strategy, marketing, lifestyle and retail reports in written and video format to a prescribed schedule and deadline.
Forecast the impact of social, technological, economic, environmental and cultural change around the world on consumer lifestyles and attitudes.
Define the actions needed to capitalise on those changes and direct clients on how to evolve their propositions to stay relevant to customers in a fast-changing market.
Produce presentations and webinars of your research and deliver them internally and externally.
Collaborate with the global WGSN Insight content team and specifically deliver tailored reports to the Director and Head of Consumer Insight.
Work with WGSN’s consultancy business Mindset, when required, to deliver bespoke consumer insight to clients.
Act as an ambassador for WGSN by speaking at global conferences and seminars.
Work with the WGSN commercial teams to support client relationships by sharing and presenting our thinking.
Take a lead in team meetings, putting forward new ideas and suggestions for content.
Uphold a strong relationship with content teams in different regions and across territories to ensure consistency of trend messages across the company.

Skills, experience & qualifications required
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the retail and marketing industries in APAC regions.
Exceptional knowledge of the global market around consumer behaviour, generational shifts and retail shifts across the industry, from fashion and beauty to consumer technology, social commerce and e-commerce platforms.
Strong level of experience in writing, editing and reporting through an extensive career path within consumer research, journalism or retail strategy.
An understanding of the role data and analytics play in commercial success.
Ability to analyse data and pinpoint trends that will impact the global retail sector.
Excellent organisation, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within an international team to ensure production standards, reports or outputs are of a consistently high standard and submitted on time.
Ability to work across multiple time zones (please note that your manager will be based in the UK).
Experience in managing and leading a team with strong editing skills.
Experience in copywriting, journalism or strategy.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an expert knowledge of the English language, clothing and accessory terminology - types of collars, sleeves, silhouettes, design details, etc, and basic knowledge of lifestyle and interiors terminology. Role overview
The pre-sales area is the initial stage of the sales process. The New Business intern is responsible for contacting potential customers identified by the marketing area, understanding the needs of each company and identifying whether WGSN has meaning to them. Able to demonstrate advanced sales process, techniques and methodology
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as exceptional presentation skills

Key accountabilities
Direct, oversee, research and create solution-driven content, showing a clear understanding of client needs across the active category. Ensure forecast reports are at a world-class standard, delivering information in a concise, informative and inspirational manner, in either written, visual or video format.

Identify key influences, drivers and innovations, in line with the WGSN STEPIC methodology, that will impact and shape the future of the activewear industry. Looking at society, technology, environment, politics, industry and creativity. Communicate these findings with an understanding of their future impacts within content, internal presentations, workshops, and client-facing briefings.
Collaborating beyond the fashion department. Working with the consumer Insight team and the new Sports and Outdoors team. Collaborate with the team to further shape and understand the impact of these shifts.
Mentor and lead immediate team members as well as the broader team. Set best practice examples within the content team and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high standard is achieved. Give constructive feedback and guidance through clear communication in person, on screen and in written form.
Deliver client-facing presentations that are informative, engaging and empathetic to the client's needs. Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the active content, shifts within the industry as well as challenges the active industry could be facing. Confidently advocate for WGSN’s work, methodology and products. Collaborate with the client services team to ensure the client’s needs and expectations are met.
Keeping abreast of sustainability innovations, industry challenges and current and future legislations that will impact the fashion industry. Gaining information through research, collaboration, industry events and industry contacts.
Ensuring diversity and inclusivity is represented across all active content. Researching and self-educating on product innovations and topics within Active that relate to diversity and inclusivity.
Able to hypothesise scenarios within activewear and consumer behaviour in order to brief and work with the data team to design and deliver meaningful and indicative data sets, graphs and visuals.
Share knowledge and insights on the active sector on WGSN podcasts, videos and webinars and other public and industry-facing events when required.
Travel nationally and internationally to cover industry trade shows, conferences and other events when required.

Skills, experience & qualifications required
Proven career experience within the active market with a background in trend forecasting, design or buying, demonstrating an understanding of the apparel industry across design, buying, textile and material innovation and lifestyle drivers.
Solid knowledge of the global active market from directional to commercial trends across fashion, lifestyle and performance product areas, and the ability to pin-point trends that will impact the market.
Expert level of experience in writing, editing and reporting through an extensive career path within design, buying or content creation.
Excellent standard of written English. Ability to convey complex ideas in concise and digestible formats written in the WGSN house style.
Good understanding of how macro and micro trends within society, technology, the environment, politics, industry and creativity will impact innovation within the active industry.
An understanding of the role data and analytics plays in commercial success.
An ability to present and explain trend concepts to internal and external audiences.
Ability to take ownership of personal assignments, prioritise workload and support other members of the team.
Ability to manage your own time effectively to meet exacting content deadlines.
Excellent organisation, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within an international team to ensure production standards, reports or outputs are of a consistently high standard and submitted on time.

The Campaign Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of marketing campaigns to achieve a successful launch of this new product. We're looking for a Events Operations Lead to join our team in London as part of our Events function.
Your Role: Your role will sit within the Ascential Operations Team to manage the efficient and creative delivery of all event operations of Money20/20 Europe. You will be a core role both in the lead up to and during the onsite delivery of the show. You will also support the Event Operations Lead for Money20/20 USA.
This role will require you to travel to both Money20/20 Europe and Money20/20 USA.

Role overview
WGSN is looking for a versatile, commercially focused and highly motivated Associate Editor and trend forecaster to join our Kidswear team to cover the maternity leave of an existing employee.
You will have an excellent knowledge of brands, market segmentation and global trend nuances across Tween, Kids and baby/toddler.
This opportunity is ideal for an individual who has had a few years experience within the kids wear market and is from either a design, trend concept or buying background.
You will report to the Editor of Kidswear based in the UK and will be part of a close knit and successful product design team that is not only creating product trends but is always considering where innovation, shifts in lifestyle and emerging kid culture will impact the kids wear market.
Key accountabilities
Contribute to trends research and analysis across Boys, Girls, Tween and Baby (ages 0-13) with a focus on apparel, footwear and accessories
Deliver concise written trend analysis reports showing a clear understanding of the subscribers’ needs
Retail trend analysis reports showing an understanding of subscribers’ needs
Support the team in the research and creation of Kids Forecast reports
Creation of original cad work for Boys, Girls and Baby apparel, footwear and accessories categories
Commission freelance content for publication, with direction from Head of Kids
Travel globally to report on industry events such as trades shows when required
Collaborate and support the Kids team on wider content projects as and when required
Contribute to WGSN's Fashion Feed
Contribution to overall content team objectives
Skills, experience & qualifications required
Excellent knowledge of the global Kids’ market from forecast vision through to commercial trends across fashion
A portfolio of kidswear designs and writing excerpts, expressing your ability across Boys, Girls, Tween and Baby categories
Solid Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
Ability to take ownership of personal assignments, prioritise workload and provide support to other team members
An understanding of the role data and analytics plays in commercial success
Ability to analyse data and pinpoint trends that will impact the market
Proven quality of research and personal output
Excellent organisation, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within an international team to ensure production standards, reports or outputs are of a consistently high standard and submitted on time
