Assist with performing tasks to rebuild/repair compressors such as: Compressor tear down, inspection, assembly, miscellaneous machining, metal spraying, parts cleaning.
Assist with basic tests of compressor bare block after rebuilding.
Travel with main field service technician to local customers to perform the following work:
Assist with performing maintenance procedures and warranty work on Company’s product line at customer's location(s).
Assist with troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical and mechanical problems on refrigeration systems at customer's location(s).
Your Profile / Qualifications
Attending technical school or seeking certification in refrigeration or similar field preferred.
High school diploma/GED required.
Flexible schedule, travel-read.
Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Self-driven, PC proficient.
Able to read P&IDs, schematics.
Basic refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
Entry-level compressor operation.
Ability to travel 25% of the time.

Do you want to be the key driver of strategy and business development for the Business Unit Execution, NAM/LAM in the Liquid & Powder Technologies Division? We are looking for an experienced colleague that will help us identify and shape key strategic projects, look for areas for optimization as well as assess existing pipeline to ensure the continuous improvement and future growth of BU Execution NAM/LAM, LPT.
With a direct reporting line to the Senior Vice President, BU Execution NAM/LAM, LPT and as a member of the BU Leadership Team, you are instrumental in setting the agenda for the BU. We expect you to provide hands-on, sublime support on strategic initiatives and to help us grow the great potential of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Drives short, medium- and long-term strategic agenda incl. development of templates, identification and implementation of strategic goals in cooperation with business area owners
Aligns with business area owners on identification, prioritization, resourcing and funding of strategic initiatives
Support the operating business in NAM/LAM with business intelligence regarding market, competition and customer (inkl. Stakeholder analysis) – and convey strategy concepts into business actions/roadmaps – inkl. tracking and reporting
Develop and conduct best practice analysis for critical business processes, share it within the region and lead the implementation of optimization improvements
Drive Sales pipeline (in CRM) and define actions and conclusions for business
Other tasks assigned from the supervisor
Facilitates workshops on specific strategy or business development related topics
Cooperates with business units, other LPT BUs and Divisions, Finance and other relevant partners to identify opportunities and risks
Represents the business unit in corporate/transformational projects as well as M&A activities
Represents the business unit in strategic/business development meetings with clients and external partners
Aligns and secures support across business units, competence centers, divisions and functions
Engages and champions the values and objectives of GEA
Implement business strategic directions and initiatives (All)
Account Management for key customers
Cross-functional communication with Business Unit peers, Divisional heads, MDs, Finance and Corporate Development
Influences decision making of senior management by providing recommendations and scenarios
Makes decisions within portfolio of strategic initiatives (as project/program manager)
Under the discretion of the Senior Vice President of the BU – makes decisions on behalf of the business unit in corporate projects

Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or proven expertise gained by extensive work experience in relevant fields is preferred
Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Open-minded to new models and ideas (change champion) and strong analytical skills

A Lyophilizer Field Service Engineer assists and performs the installation, start-up, commissioning, evaluation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairing of the GEA pharmaceutical lyophilizers at customer sites. In addition, they assist with the performance of factory acceptance tests in Germany from time to time. A GEA FST will travel up to seventy-five percent of the time. – All work is to be performed in strict compliance with GEA and a particular customer’s Safety, cGMP, and Quality System requirements.
The following tasks are performed at customer locations in Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the USA
Working supervision of local forces receiving and installing GEA Lyophilizers.
Working supervision of start-up, commissioning, IQ, OQ, and SAT of GEA Lyophilizers.
Perform preventative maintenance services which includes proper completion of associated records.
Perform calibration services which includes proper completion of associated records.
Working supervision of local forces rebuilding and upgrading installations in cooperation with the responsible specialist departments.
Investigate and troubleshoot problems, make repairs recommendations, and then perform the repairs.
Write service call reports and follow up with customers and affiliates as required.
Contribute to team effort by working the necessary hours, including reasonable overtime, to satisfy the customer and/or complete the task completing all tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
