Our lab is focused on leveraging new technologies to better study microbial populations and their impact on human health. Recent improvements in the sequencing technology field offer unique perspectives for metagenomic assemblies, reducing the gap to the full genomic reconstruction of complex microbial communities that can be further leveraged for comparative genomic analysis.
