The key objective of this role is to support the Trust with meeting its SLaM and Tenanted Properties statutory compliance obligations, ensuring all data, information and statutory records are held accurately, and available at all times. The post holder will provide technical expertise, manage the compliance workload, highlight any statutory compliance discrepancies and develop the assurance of compliance within CEF and SLaM.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Capital, Estates & Facilities Directorate for a Compliance Officer position. This is a permanent role, undertaking a key position supporting the Trust with meeting its SLaM and Tenanted Properties statutory compliance obligations, ensuring all data, information and statutory records are held accurately, and available at all times .

• Develop, implement and monitor all areas of CEF’s statutory compliance obligations.
• Co-ordinate and influence design of existing and upcoming services, applications, system developments across the Trust and in key partnerships to enhance
• Develop, design and co-ordinate dissemination of performance notices that are clear, concise and in line with Procurement Principles and in conjunction with CEF and Procurement staff.
• Undertaking assurance and compliance work to support CEF
• Support the Trust Estates Manager in compliance obligations and data collection.
• Developing, monitoring and review of compliance
• To be responsible for the input and upkeep of all the compliance data onto the CEF Central Drive, including intensive use of the Trust’s electronic systems. To produce reports from the database, spreadsheets and other compliance applications according to the requirements of Senior Managers.
• Ensure all Monthly/Annual reports are completed and logged and documented
• Organisation of workload and supervision of directly employed staff. Including the auditing of compliancy documentation relevant for the particular Estates function. Act as central point for compliance team.
• Perform a wide range of duties including the monitoring, certification and co-ordination of statutory compliance with Senior Managers. To include but not limited to the regular testing and inspection of the Fire Alarm systems, Emergency Generator installations, Water System requirements and records, High Voltage Electrical installation, Emergency Lighting installations, Lightning Protection, Fixed Electrical installations, Plans and Records, Portable Appliance Testing, Microwave, Fire Door Testing certification of any other statutory equipment.
• To have excellent/good knowledge of statutory compliance.
• To have excellent/good knowledge of the Micad Compliance Module and Asbestos Module.
• Responsible for the uploading and management of information to the Trust’s compliance and asbestos databases.
• To provide support in addition to the management of the Trust’s compliance and asbestos data recording systems.
• To lead on, monitor and manage the compliance and asbestos database folder structure.
• To lead on, monitor and resolve database issues within the Compliance Module and Asbestos Module.
• Maintain an Asset register of all statutory equipment and plant to ensure the Trust is compliant with all the requirements of the regulations. Prepare schedules for all essential compliance works. Provide support to technical teams in monitoring progress against program.
