The post holder will be responsible for: Leading the development and implementation of the Target Operating Model and continuing development of the OR support tools. Ensuring the buildings are safe and effective to operate in from day 1 of opening. Leading Transformation Directorate OR activities to act as a subject matter expert to the Trusts while providing support and guidance, to the workstream leadership. Lead on the development and delivery of the NHP operational readiness strategy with applicable stakeholders. Develop the process and mechanism to assess, analyse and report scheme OR maturity to NHP leadership and programme scheme teams. Review and influence the Trusts OR plans and commissioning programme to ensure risks of delivery are effectively mitigated. Track performance of the operational readiness team against defined milestones and report on progress, risks, resolution and escalation of issues through governance channels. Lead on development and implementation of a road map to operational certification and create materials to support cohort teams. Lead the development of and contribute to operational readiness lessons learned process to ensure NHP can embed and improve on positive and challenging project evaluation findings. Support the Deputy Director for Hospital Operations (Assurance) in critically reviewing business cases and addendums. Actively participate and contribute to formal and informal assurance assessments. Main Duties continued: You will work as part of the Hospital Operations Senior Leadership team (Hospital Operations Director, Deputy Directors for Hospital Operations and Assistant Director/s) to develop an ongoing program of work to address operational elements of the Transformation Directorate workplan. Together you will develop a learning culture in the team to enable iterative plan development to enhance the patient and staff experience in the New Hospital Programme. The post holder will deliver an efficient, effective, and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated operational service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation. The post holder should possess a track record of leading and resolving complex issues and implementing change in large organisations/systems including experience at senior operational level in and acute healthcare environment. You will lead specific pieces of programme work on the direction of the Deputy Director of Hospital Operations to deliver overall work plan objectives. Will be expected to critically analyse business cases and provide constructive with evaluation and lead on the development of the workstream strategy and strategically plan future programmes of work. As the New Hospital Programme is evolving, the precise nature of the role may need to change as the programme becomes established and agreed. The post holder will need to work flexibly across several delivery areas and locations. Salary Progression Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8d with a full-time starting salary of £83,571 with a pay step increase after 5 years service. For posts based in Inner London, the above salaries will include the additional supplement of 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £5,132 per annum and a maximum payment of £7,746 per annum. This is offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and is based on office location.
