ROLES, RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY :
a) Manage daily operations for import and export of sea freight shipments.
b) Maintain accurate records of shipments, including invoices, bill of lading, and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
c) Manage and resolve any shipping-related customer inquiries or concerns, providing exceptional service and addressing any issues in a timely manner.
d) Communicate with shippers, vendors, liners, agents & clients and resolve any complaints.
e) Work with carrier / co-loader for booking arrangements.
f) Handle all custom formalities with the customs and other authorities regarding customs clearance.
g) Liaise with clients and agents with proper HS Codes and duty/tax amount.
h) Ensure all dangerous goods / hazardous cargo documents are in place and procedures are met with approval from the carrier where necessary.
i) Coordinate smooth delivery for consignments/shipments for sea or road transport.
j) To perform billing and costing timely as per KPI.
k) Take charge of supplier’s invoice disputes.
l) All other ad-hoc work instructions from Supervisor / Manager.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
a) At least a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent.
b) Preferably having 2-3 years working experiences in Freight Forwarding
c) Basic understanding of freight forwarding and regulatory requirements including INCOTERMS
e) Ability to communicate with customers and associates in person via e-mail and telephone in English.
f) Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
g) Good interpersonal & communication skill.
