Daira EdTech is an Indian venture & R&D studio building where technology is needed most — alongside the teachers, anganwadi workers, and families who make it work, inside the public systems that reach every village.
We didn't start with a product. We started with a question: why does a child's developmental delay go unnoticed for years, in a country with a school in every village and a phone in every home? The answer wasn't a lack of care — it was a lack of capacity where care actually happens.
So we spent months in classrooms and anganwadi centres before writing a line of code. Working with clinicians at NIEPID, we built Jiveesha — AI-assisted, multilingual screening for autism, ADHD, and specific learning differences, run by the people children already trust.
That approach became our method: understand deeply, build with clinical experts, deploy through government systems, and feed what we learn back into policy.
Today our work runs inside public systems across multiple states, backed by partnerships with NIEPID, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, and recognition under the IndiaAI Mission. We've screened tens of thousands of children through the teachers and health workers already on the ground — not around them.

Pros: The work-from-home flexibility is a major plus, making it easy to balance personal life. As a remote employee, I found the engagement with students and curriculum design to be very fulfilling. There are opportunities to learn and grow within the Edtech field, especially if you're proactive. The company culture is generally supportive, and colleagues are helpful.
Cons: Sometimes project timelines can be a bit ambitious, leading to occasional overtime, though it's not constant. There's also a desire for more structured career progression paths within the company, as it can feel a bit ad-hoc at times. Improving internal communication across different remote teams would also be beneficial.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing clearer, long-term career development frameworks for remote roles. Enhanced cross-departmental communication tools and strategies would also be very valuable for smoother operations.
