Great Culture for Field-Based Merchandising
Pros: The company culture at CROSSMARK really promotes a sense of independence, which is fantastic for a field-based role like a Retail Sales & Merchandising Representative. I get to manage my own time and territory in Kennesaw, GA, visiting various retail stores. Even though it's remote work, the team support is there when you need it, and I appreciate that collaborative spirit among fellow reps in the sales and marketing agency. There's a good emphasis on getting the job done efficiently, and you
Cons: While communication is generally good, sometimes updates or new directives can feel a bit delayed when you're out in the field. It would be great to have more consistent check-ins or a more streamlined communication channel to ensure everyone is on the same page. Also, career progression paths for Retail Sales & Merchandising Representatives aren't always super clear, which can be a bit challenging if you're looking to grow beyond the field role within this consumer goods industry company.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster the supportive and independent culture, but focus on improving internal communication channels for field employees and providing clearer, more structured pathways for career progression within the sales and marketing agency.

Good Experience with Flexible Retail Merchandising
Pros: I really enjoyed the flexibility that came with this role. Being able to set my own schedule for retail merchandising tasks and visiting different stores across the Franklin area was a big plus. It's a great way to get exposure to different brands and learn about retail execution without being tied down to a strict 9-to-5. The team I reported to was generally supportive and responsive.
Cons: The pay and benefits are quite basic, which is typical for entry-level field roles in the retail services industry. Sometimes communication from corporate could be clearer, and getting timely answers to questions wasn't always easy. Also, travel between store locations, while expected, can add up and isn't always compensated as well as I'd hoped.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing communication channels for field staff and perhaps exploring more competitive compensation or travel stipends to better reflect the effort involved.

Supportive leadership for field merchandisers
Pros: I've really appreciated the leadership at CROSSMARK. My direct manager is consistently supportive, providing clear directions and being readily available whenever I have questions about a new planogram or a store-specific issue at Publix. This level of engagement from leadership makes a big difference when you're a field-based Grocery Reset Merchandiser, ensuring I feel connected and valued in my role within the consumer goods industry. The work flexibility is also a huge plus, allowing me to
Cons: While leadership is great, sometimes the broader company communication regarding new initiatives or changes in the retail merchandising field can be a bit slow to trickle down, leading to last-minute adjustments. Also, I think there could be clearer outlined career growth opportunities for a Grocery Reset Merchandiser. It feels like advancement paths aren't always transparent, which could be improved to help employees plan their long-term careers at CROSSMARK.
Advice to Management: Continue to empower and support your field leadership, as their direct involvement is crucial for the success of field merchandisers like me. Improving the consistency and timeliness of company-wide communications would also greatly benefit the team, reducing reactive work. Consider developing more
