Pros: The best part was definitely the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects across different sectors, which significantly broadened my skillset. Teamwork is highly valued, and colleagues are generally supportive and knowledgeable, creating a strong sense of camaraderie on engagements. The pace is fast, which is great for rapid development.
Cons: While strategic vision is clear from senior leadership, tactical execution and communication down to project teams could sometimes be smoother. Workload can be intense during critical project phases, impacting work-life balance at times, and there's a desire for more structured career progression pathways beyond project success.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication loops and setting clearer, more consistent expectations for project deliverables and timelines to help manage workload intensity for consultants. Standardizing performance review criteria for career growth would also be beneficial.
