Company Overviews

It’s important to know who you’re partnering with.

nextSource is a privately held, woman-owned professional services firm with over 25 years’ experience in extended workforce management.

We provide services such as:

• Managing the entire temporary worker process (MSP)
• Acting as your global Employer of Record/payrolling service for pre-identified workers (EOR)
• Identifying and managing the risk associated with Independent Contractors (AOR/IC)
• Managing projects and deliverables under a Statement of Work (SOW)
• Leveraging your brand to find resources by skill set, location, and strategic business initiatives such as diversity and inclusion goals (Talent Communities)

We do this by designing our clients’ programs to fit their exact needs, offering a dedicated (not shared) program office, and conducting an annual roadmap that ensures that your program will continue to add value as business conditions and your needs change.

Decent staffing role with some WLB challenges
Pros: The company culture at nextSource often fosters a sense of teamwork, which made onboarding and day-to-day tasks more enjoyable. As an Account Manager, I appreciated the exposure to diverse client needs within the staffing and workforce solutions sector. Opportunities to learn about Vendor Management Systems (VMS) are definitely present, making it a good place to build foundational industry knowledge and skills.
Cons: While flexibility is decent, maintaining a consistent work-life balance can be tough, especially when managing multiple client accounts or during busy hiring seasons. The workload can become quite demanding, and sometimes communication regarding priorities or strategic direction from leadership could be clearer to help navigate these pressures more effectively. More defined pathways for career progression would also be a plus.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing clearer communication channels for workload management and strategic priorities. Establishing more defined career progression frameworks would also help retain talent by showing clear paths for growth within the organization.

Solid Experience, Good Team Environment
Pros: The best part about nextSource is definitely the people. My immediate team is fantastic, always willing to help out and collaborate, making the workload manageable. The company does a good job of providing a stable environment, and as a tech-focused staffing agency, you get exposure to interesting client projects. The flexibility for remote work arrangements is also a big plus.
Cons: While I appreciate the stability and team, career growth opportunities can feel a bit limited without more defined internal pathways. Sometimes, processes can feel a little bureaucratic, slowing down certain initiatives or client responses. The pay and benefits package is decent but not outstanding compared to some other players in the HR technology sector.
Advice to Management: Consider creating more structured career development programs to help employees visualize and achieve growth within the company. Enhanced mentorship opportunities would be valuable.

Decent role in staffing, leadership could be more engaged.
Pros: The role itself offers a good deal of autonomy and exposure to interesting client projects within the IT staffing sector. Interacting with hiring managers and understanding diverse business needs was rewarding. The hybrid work arrangement in the New York office really helps with work-life balance, making it easier to manage personal commitments.
Cons: While the work is generally good, there were times when leadership communication felt a bit distant. Strategic direction could be clearer, and more hands-on guidance from upper management would be beneficial for professional development and aligning team efforts. Sometimes feels like individual contributors are left to figure things out independently.
Advice to Management: Consider more regular town halls or Q&A sessions to improve transparency and connection between leadership and the teams. Clearer communication on strategic priorities would empower employees and foster greater alignment across the organization.
