The Privacy Office is accountable for managing Grab's personal data practices. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly energised Regional Privacy Engineer to align  advanced technologies and embrace Privacy by Design principles from the first stages of development and ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs. 

Get to know the Role: 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on privacy issues across Grab products. You will work with key Grabbers in our engineering and business teams to design privacy solutions that help Grab to meet its global privacy obligations. The day-to-day activities:

• Develop and implement solutions to ensure privacy policies are correctly implemented. The implementation should advance compliance with legal forms of data use as well as support business use of data.

• Architect, configure, implement, and manage the OneTrust platform to ensure that the modules are fit for use, and dependency tasks such as integration with corporate website and other CRM tools are done seamlessly. 

• Work to align advanced technologies and Privacy by Design principles from the first stages of development and ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs. 

• Collaborate with data product development teams creating new uses of data that employ privacy features.

• Interacting with internal privacy members, product development teams, legal, compliance and data governance teams. 

• Analyze, design and program software enhancements for new data streams with a goal of developing technical solutions and systems to help mitigate privacy vulnerabilities and prevent potential future privacy risks.

• Responsible for assisting with the management of the data privacy, data protection, data usability, performance and the integrity of the privacy solution.

• Performs testing and debugging of applications and solutions, as well as completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

• Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications to new or existing software. 

• Interface with other developers and architects in implementing big data solutions that enable the business to be data driven while protecting the data assets.

• Performing after hour on-call work when necessary.
• Support remote users problem from Branches where necessary.
• Prepare log tickets on any users request attended and close the ticket upon issue resolved.
• Prepare a resolution after each log tickets has been done.
• Documenting case studies and relevant IT processes and procedures, and adding to the knowledge base of the organization.

Job Requirements:

• Able to communicate well with different levels and type of people
• Have experience/Knowledge in IBM AS400 would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in active directory would also be an added advantage.

Roles / Responsibilities  

• Design, develop, test, integrate and maintain quality firmware for eHDD using best practices like unit test, CI and Agile methodologies.  
• Design and implementation of data structures, software algorithms, data path, and drivers for hardware cores using latest standards C++ and Python.  
• Participate in Scrum & Agile processes to bring up new hardware and develop embedded firmware for data storage products.  
• Deliver cutting-edge storage products with SAS, SATA, PCIE interfaces.  
• Collaborate and design solutions for the challenging yet unique problems across hardware and software platforms, including servers, RAID, and various operating systems (Windows and Linux).  
• Participate in planning and coordinating significant technical investigations from problem statement to conclusions.  
• Creates design documents pertinent to the various phases of firmware development.
