Responsibilities

• Manages general accounting (general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, banking, tax, credit and collections), internal & external auditing, and budgetary controls. Maintains strong internal control and safeguards company assets.

Education and/or Experience

• Develop and implement effective financial processes and systems to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Manage and optimise funds' cash flows, maximizing investment returns while adhering to risk management policies.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting officers, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development.
• Act as a liaison with Government Bodies, Statutory Boards, and the President's Office on financial reporting matters, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the overall finance function.

What we are looking for

• Relevant work experience in accounting or audit, preferably with prior working experience or familiarity to the insurance industry.
• Good understanding of Singapore/Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards, with proficiency in FRS 109 Financial Instruments.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex financial information effectively.
• Experience with PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools preferred, with the ability to use data visualisation for enhanced reporting and insights.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Role Description

• Manage and be responsible for the end-to-end accounting and GST submission on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Manage the client onboarding and CDD process.
• Good understanding in corporate services eg accounting, taxation, coporate secretarial and advisory.
• Assist in secretarial and taxation computation and supervisory oversight.
• Manage the operational and workflow management
• Provide excellent client service and ensure deliverables timelines are met.
• Responsible for billings, fee negotiations and recovery for each client engagement.
• Provide work and leave cover for other members of the team.

2. Specific Responsibilities/Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of accounting services/process
• Understanding of the Customers eg SME, sole proprietorships etc
• Understanding of accounting systems eg ABSS
• Undertstandng of corporate services sales eg accounting, taxation, secretarial etc

• Able to understand and act in a professional manner and perform assignment according to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
