JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Implement a quality assurance program that adheres to corporate manuals, processes, and customer needs.
· Provide regular reports to management on quality process performance in projects and shipyards.
· Planned and managed production inspection activities, including NDT, welding, and inspection test processes.
· Responsible for monitoring yard and contractor quality standards and serving as the primary quality liaison for internal and external stakeholders during projects.
· Identify and analyze quality concerns in procedures or products, and provide corrective action plans for parties to work on.
· Leading continuous improvement efforts inside the organization.
· Monitoring shipyard quality standards, ensuring compliance, and preparing for internal and external audits.
· Improving quality assurance procedures and techniques. Involved in recruiting and coaching QA Engineers.
· Managed and coordinated customer complaint and non-conformity investigations.
· Collaborates with client representatives to ensure task quality.
· Create product and process quality reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
· Create and report on quality key performance indicators.
· Communicate with customers and classification societies regarding quality issues.
· Implement project quality plans.
· Analyze contract documents, specifications, and quality plans to determine quality needs and deliverables.
· Conduct quality hold points, inspections, tests, and other customer-requested actions.
· Conduct material inspections to ensure proper separation and traceability of materials.
· Conduct welding inspections at all stages of the process
