Authorities and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing directives for the Quality Assurance Department in meeting management objectives.
2. Formulate, implement and evaluate quality strategies programs for the company.
3. Implement and maintain a system of auditing the facility and periodic calibration of test, measuring equipment and tools.
4. Manage customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs.
5. Administer and manage continuous improvement program for all QA processes.
6. Work closely with auditors, customers, production and suppliers to meet the quality requirements.
7. Manage sub-contractors for on-time supply of treatment process, as well as meeting technical requirement.
8. Review / prepare, administer and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other Operational procedures in accordance to the technical specifications, customer's surveillance requirements, and good manufacturing / engineering practices, and enforce the same on Operations in their execution.
9. Work closely among inter-department to ensure committed schedules are met in a timely and effectively manner.
10. Review and approve disposition program / action for nonconforming products.
11. Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established and implemented.
12. Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system, and note needed improvements.
13. Ensure the promotion of awareness of statutory, regulatory and customer requirements throughout the organization.
14. Ensure and coordinate the implementation of risk assessment and risk control of medical devices

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in business by ensuring that products meet certain standards of quality. He/She plans, directs or coordinates quality assurance programs and formulate quality control policies. He/She also works to improve an organisation's efficiency and profitability by reducing waste. He/She prepares and update quality documentation, basing their processes on a recognised standard such as ISO 9000 – Quality Management, published by the International Organisation for Standardisation. He/She supervises teams of inspectors who carry out the detailed assessment of products and their components at different stages of production. He/She recruits and trains supervisors, and provides them with documented quality standards as guidelines for their daily work. He/She also selects quality inspection tools and software to support the inspection team.

Competence Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Quality Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of solid experience in Quality Management in similar or related industry and 3 years in management level.
• Good knowledge in implementing and up keeping Quality Management System.
• Strong leadership and good interpersonal skills.
• A team player with strong sense of responsibility to ensure plant effective quality performance.

2. Accountable with the assigned factory sections in terms of production, New Model Development, Customer Service and Support, Supplier and Materials Management, Logistics and Transportation.
3. Analyze section profit/loss of projects and providing cost control and cost effectiveness strategy.
4. Provide production & material planning in ensuring production efficiency and on time delivery.
5. Ensure effective control of machine up/down time and well scheduled and optimized planning in machine / work-center load.
6. Manpower balancing and deplaoyment strategy with manpower skill set.
7. Continuous improvement program to ensure productivity, cost and quality effectiveness, general housekeeping and safety.
8. Formulate, identify and conduct management / training workshop to initiate / facilitate staff in aligning organizations missions and objectives and actions plans.
9. Support other function activities within the company to achieve the overall business goals and objectives.
10. Implement process improvement.

Requirements:

• Preferred to have Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years in a Manufacturing environment (preferably in Precision Engrg / Sheet metal industry) and with at least 4 years of supervisory capacity.
• Exposure with involvement in newly factory, product / process set-up is much preferred.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing cycle and good budgeting control.
• Strong leadership with good analytical and problem solving skill, as well as dynamic in planning and result oriented.

Corporate Operations management

1. Drive the activities for strategic growth opportunities internationally.

2. Evaluate Operations development opportunities with all entities/sites for strategic plans alignment with corporate strategy to increase manufacturing/service and products offerings that are complimentary to the status of company.

3. Responsible for the operations objective and profit plans.

4. Plan the performance in all of the areas: Manufacturing/production, Engineering, Quality departments.

5. Drive a dynamic production force with excellent tactical production objective to develop the delivery for Operations results.

Corporate Engineering / Production

6. Formulate and provide directives for Engineering / Production Department in meeting organization’s goals.

7. Accountable with the assigned factory sections in terms of New Model Development.

8. Analyse section profit / loss of projects and providing cost control and cost effectiveness strategy.

9. Involvement with evaluation, recommendation and also as a decision maker for newly factory, machineries, tooling that relate to the machining setup and processes.

10. Ensure effective control of machine up / down time and well scheduled & optimized machine performance and capacity.

11. Manpower balancing and deployment strategy with manpower skill set.

12. Continuous improvement program to ensure productivity, cost and quality effectiveness.

13. Provide application support query on process time estimation and special / engineering needs on sales quotation.

14. Formulate and provide system in document control of engineering / technical / ECN drawings / forms and operational support programs.

1. Responsible in executing directives as set forth for the Store Department in meeting management objectives.
2. Manage the warehouse department and supervise the warehouse personnel to ensure proper store management and control.
3. Monitor and establish a smooth flow of materials to production requirements, maintain and control inventory.
4. In charge for stock counting and inventory accuracy.
5. Review the store procedures and policies periodically for improvement in efficiency and productivity and importantly, stock accuracy.
6. Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas
