Summary:
Designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and productivity in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Job Responsibility:
· Design, develop & implement automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, assembly, testing, packaging, etc.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements & identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency & quality.
· Develop detailed specifications and functional requirements for automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics, and motion control systems.
· Program and configure automation equipment and control systems to perform specific tasks and optimize manufacturing processes.
· Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with specifications.
· Provide technical support and training to production personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation equipment and systems.
· Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of automation systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
· Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness.
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to process automation and safety.
· Handle Risk Management of the development strategy to ensure the project baseline (budget and schedule baseline) will be as accurate as possible.
· Collaborate with the project manager to generate monthly project report for management covering the schedule, cost and project baseline.
· Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing timely resolutions and proactive recommendations to optimize system performance.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
· Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic), HMI development, SCADA systems, robotics, and motion control systems.
· Experience with automation software tools and platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, etc.).
· Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues effectively.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor manufacturing (e.g., SEMI standards) is a plus.
