Our firm is looking to recruit an intermediate/junior accountant that will help our Business Services team and also assist with some of our SMSF's. We know that your career will be rewarding if you are successful in this role.
About the role
We are seeking an energetic accountant who is proactive, highly motivated and keen to learn from a team of high performing professionals. It is very important that the candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this role requires a hands-on approach that involves client communication and relationship building.
The successful candidate will have:
• At least 2 years-experience in business accounting
• Experience in BGL360 would be an advantage
• Familiarity with a range of technical and up to date SMSF issues including pensions, transfer balance caps, TBAR reporting, CGT relief, and LRBA.
• Excellent communication skills
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team
• Great eye for detail
• The willingness to work in a hands-on team environment and to assist in providing a high level of service to clients to ensure their needs are provided for
This role will include:
• Review the preparation of Financial Statements & Reports, BAS and Income Tax Returns
• Preparing clients monthly financials reports
• Establishment of new funds and required compliance and processing on BGL 360.
• Maintenance of Trustee and Member records.
• Ensuring compliance with SISA.
• General ledger maintenance.
• There will be a good balance within the accounting field as the role will involve the preparation of financials statements, income tax returns, activity statements and other taxation compliance requirements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
