The role
As a Training Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will co-ordinate the internal and external training requirement for company pilots and external pilots seeking to undertake commercial courses with the company.

This role is an integral part of the operations function of the business and the post holder will support Ground and Flight Operations activity daily.

Day to day, you'll co-ordinate internal Pilot training, simulator scheduling and allocation of appropriate training resources, as well as:

• Co-ordinate external customer training, simulator scheduling and allocation of appropriate training resources.
• Manage the company training plan combining the resources of Training Captains against the requirements of internal and external students.
• Prepare support materials to ensure external students are invoiced appropriately commencing with preparation and communication of costed course proposals, training contracts and student records.
• Assist the Operations Delivery Manager or their nominated deputy, in the co-ordination and delivery of internal Ground Operations Team training and staff development.
• Assist the Duty Ground Operations Officer to conduct their roles and responsibilities as required.

This role is full time and based onsite at Gloucestershire Airport at Staverton.

Essential experience of the Training Coordinator:

• Excellent "people" skills with ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with all stakeholders.
• The ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative with the ability to prioritise and multi-task.
• Demonstrate the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
• High level of IT skills and ability to work with a variety of applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Air Maestro.
• Previous aviation operations experience desirable but not essential.

In this role, the Simulator Flight Instructor I will be responsible for the delivery of training primarily in a flight simulator or other training device, but also when required in ground school, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory and customer requirements.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Delivery of instructor led training / Part 142 training to CAE customers
• Delivery of ATP/CTP courses – ground school and sim sessions on the A320 platform..
• Conduct pre and post flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with CAE standards.
• Conduct each simulator session in accordance with the CAE, aircraft manufacturer or the customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). 
• Provide simulator flight instruction for the issue of licenses, type ratings and certificates.
• Complete the appropriate client training records accurately and comprehensively to ensure client understanding and a seamless handover to other instructors.
• Recommend, where necessary, remedial training for a client who is not meeting the required training progress.
• Record simulator usage and discrepancies using the appropriate procedures.
• Track the validity of instructional qualifications to ensure that he/she remains qualified to deliver training at all times in accordance with contractual commitments. 
• Act as subject matter expert in creation of curricula and courseware when required.
• Accept training for examiner responsibilities when required by the Head of Training.
• Act as invigilator when examination is conducted

Qualifications 

• Should be typed on the A320 platform. Need not be current.
• At least 2 years as part of a FAA Part 121 program.
• Ready to work night shifts as required by simulator availability.
• Bachelor degree in job-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Passes in all Airline Transport Pilots License written exams.
• Minimum experience required by the Regulatory Authority issuing instructor rating.
• Hold an existing instructor qualification or -rating issued by a Regulatory Authority desirable.
• Meet the relevant minimum qualification and experience requirements for qualification as a Simulator Instructor.
• Hold or has held a professional pilots’ license.
• A working knowledge of the relevant aviation regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances.
• Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction.
• Ability to concentrate and work in a fast paced environment.

About the opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to undertake fundamental and applied research related to the degradation of fuel cells for advanced air mobility application.

Reporting to ARC Future Fellow and Associate Professor Dries Verstraete, as Postdoctoral Research Associate in Fuel Cell Degradation for eVTOL aircraft, you will work with a team of PhD students to quantify fuel cell durability for advanced air mobility applications. You will drive the development of degradation models for electrochemical energy sources tailored to eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) applications and take a leadership role in generating high quality research output. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to improved longevity of energy sources for aeromedical eVTOL aircraft. As part of the project, you will have opportunities to collaborate closely with academics within the university and with our industry partners.


In this role you will:

• assess existing degradation models for fuel cells and their applicability to eVTOL duty cycles,
• experimentally quantify degradation of fuel cells and fuel-cell-based hybrid energy sources,
• identify interactions between eVTOL flight dynamics and energy source behavior, using a hardware-in-the-loop simulator, and
• contribute as a researcher to project report preparation, presentation at internal workshops, and dissemination at top international conferences and journals as well as via internal workshops and presentations.

About you

Manages a group of analysts who develop sophisticated computer models of the National Airspace System and apply these models to analytical problems involving the selection, prioritization, and evaluation of NextGen technologies and procedures. [What the role is]
The Air Traffic Management Research Innovation section in the CAAS’ Air Navigation Services (ANS) group executes Singapore’s mid and long-term research and development (R&D) capabilities for Air Traffic Management (ATM) through engaging and leveraging on research institutes (“Institutes”) to develop innovative solutions that address Singapore’s operational and strategic needs.

[What you will be working on]
The key responsibilities of the candidate are 2-fold as followings:

Part 1
• Forward planning for R&D to ensure CAAS stays competitive
• Review and refresh the overall R&D strategy and roadmap to ensure that it would adapt to the fast-changing operating environment while aligning to the CAAS performance ambitions
• Strategise mid and long-term R&D capabilities for ATM under Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE), as funded by National Research Foundation (NRF), and harmonising the ATM developments across projects
• Work with counterpart innovation offices in ATM companies, and the wider eco-system of technology vendors and Institutes to develop R&D roadmaps for Singapore
• Develop schemes and strategies that would support the development of the local ATM ecosystem and create a sustainable pipeline of researchers to advance Singapore ATM
• Perform horizon scanning of long-term solutions and capabilities and master the innovation process, to support CAAS in developing the next wave of innovation
Developing streamlined processes for governance

Part 2
• Accountable and maintain strong and comprehensive Grant Management strategies for all R&D projects, including effective tracking and reporting of all R&D projects under RIE, in terms of achievement of milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Perform secretariat functions in support of the governance of R&D activities
• Actively source and secure internal and external funding to ensure that there is a sustainable stream of R&D funding to meet CAAS’ ATM research objectives
• Ensuring adherence to the funding terms and conditions as required by NRF, including management of Audit Reviews and any other new funding guidelines
• Work with Institutes to provide evidences to process reimbursement claims and substantiate the effectiveness of the internal controls in Grant Management
