EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Program Management Intern - Aviation in our Hughes Network Systems division. HUGHES is a leading provider of satellite products and services that recently announced disruptive in-flight entertainment and connectivity solutions for airlines.
This role will assist in the initiation and setup of aviation programs and projects, design and implement automation solutions for processes, presentations, and routine tasks in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
- Learn and apply project management methodologies to ensure successful program execution.
- Help to design and implement automation solutions for scheduling processes, presentations, and other routine tasks.
- Work closely with relevant teams to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop procedures and policies for aviation programs in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Create and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of aviation industry practices, regulations, and standards.
- Shadow and learn from experienced project managers to understand best practices in project management.
Basic Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, economics or project management.
- 3.0 GPA or above
- 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2024
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Basic knowledge of Smartsheet, Microsoft Power Automate is a plus.
- Basic understanding of project management principles is a plus.
