We are looking for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to join our high performing Melbourne based Engineering team. The main function of this role is to carry out maintenance on Jetstar aircraft in a timely and safe manner, in accordance with company requirements. We want to hear from you if you are logical, can see the big picture, and do not mind working in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment. We work in a dynamic environment and you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor to this team.

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

Carry out maintenance on company aircraft
Ensure timely and correct completion of all work carried out
Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release
Delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard Ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
Comply with Jetstar’s Safety Management System
Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required
Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements
Build and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and outside service providers

We’re on the hunt for someone who:

Has completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills, with previous A320/321 experience desirable
Demonstrates excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Has previous experience in Base Maintenance
Has a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Has proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and
Hold's a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence

Remuneration on offer: $75,000-$90,000 base salary (excluding superannuation, overtime, allowances and potential bonuses plus heavily discounted staff travel fares for employees and limited beneficiaries)
