Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive/Senior Accounts Executive to join our team. He/She will be responsible for managing accounts payable, receivable processes and fixed assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting various financial activities.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Record and process payments to vendors for Fixed Asset Purchases.
- Manage staff reimbursements and ensure timely processing.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices in electronic folders.
- Address supplier inquiries and provide support as needed.
Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare periodic invoices for relevant activities and monthly invoices for customers.
- Apply payments from customers in our accounting system.
- Follow up overdue payments.
- Handle GIRO applications for school fees and manage uploads to bank.
- Attend to customer inquiries and provide assistance as required.
Other Financial Duties:
- Oversee the management of Fixed Assets.
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss account schedules.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Provide monthly enrollment reports as required.
- Prepare monthly cash flow movement reports.
- Update weekly bank balances in accounting system.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly GST returns.
- Support auditing processes and assist with annual tax matters.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Assist with ad-hoc duties and backup teammate as and when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting.
- Minimum 2-3 years of audit / accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Oracle NetSuite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
