Ideal Business Group, a tax practice dedicated to assisting Small to Medium Enterprises with their tax and accounting obligations, is situated in Homebush. We are currently seeking a motivated full-time accountant with a minimum of three years of experience.

Responsibilities include:

Preparation of business activity statements.
Preparation of income tax returns for various business structures including Trusts, Companies, Unit Trusts, Partnerships, and sole traders.
Lodgement of Single Touch Payroll reports.
Lodgement of superannuation contributions.
Preparation of fringe benefits tax (FBT) returns.
Compilation of financial reports.
Generation of cash flow projections upon request from the board of directors and shareholders to assess business performance.
Analysis of collected data and generation of reports as per shareholders' requests.
Examination of employer-submitted expenses.
Communication with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to assist clients and efficiently manage and address their inquiries.
Assisting clients in the portfolio with ad-hoc accounting-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Completed Australian accounting degree in BA and Master.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant.
Proficiency in MYOB, XERO, and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and spoken language skills.
Strong attention to detail and experience in working independently.
Comprehensive knowledge of pertinent accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations outlined in the Corporations Act relevant to the assigned tasks.
Having any level of proficiency in Turkish is advantageous but not required.

About the Role
Katherine based chartered accounting firm that deals in taxation, bookkeeping and business advice. We have many not-for-profit clients and a broad commercial client base dealing in agriculture, tourism and other services. This role will be working with both junior and senior staff in taxation and financial reporting roles.
We have 40 employees, across 3 locations, including 28 qualified accountants.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of staff in Katherine, NT
- Financial reporting and grant documentations for the not-for-profit sector
- Presentations to Not-for-profit board members including travel to remote locations
