Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering or construction industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing commercial aspects of large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel, MS Project, and quantity surveying software.

My client is a national tier 1 main contractor that specialises in general build projects but has a bias towards multi-room, industrial, and data centre projects. They were established in 2001, with a turnover of £900m+ and 1000+ employees.

What will I be doing?

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a large Multiroom/PRS or Industrial projects valued between £10m and £150m based in the Midlands.

Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:

• Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required
• Cost reporting.
• Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
• Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
• Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
