The Sourcing/ Procurement Manager will play a key role in coordinating purchasing activities across our manufacturing sites in Indonesia/Singapore, Europe, and China. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing global sourcing strategies to optimize costs, ensure quality, and enhance supply chain efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate high integrity, honesty, and strong negotiation skills, coupled with a technical education background.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost reduction targets while maintaining quality standards.
2. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and finance teams, to understand business requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
3. Identify and qualify suppliers/vendors globally, assessing their capabilities, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Lead negotiations with suppliers/vendors to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions, while mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology solutions to streamline processes.
6. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and geopolitical factors impacting the supply chain, proactively identifying opportunities and risks.
7. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier/vendor performance, track cost savings, and drive accountability.
8. Provide guidance and support to local procurement teams in Singapore, Lithuania, and China, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards, promoting a culture of integrity and transparency.
10. Act as a subject matter expert on procurement-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the medical device/healthcare equipment/instruments industry.
- Proven track record of driving cost reduction initiatives and achieving savings targets through effective negotiation and supplier management.
- Strong technical acumen and understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications relevant to life sciences products.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, market research, and contract management.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding compliance and ethical standards.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Willingness to travel internationally for a period of time as needed.
