Appointments will be made on an initial two- or three-year contract with the possibility of renewal, including opportunities for career development and promotion within the teaching-track.

We seek applicants from any of the social sciences (economics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, etc.) who have a strong background and interest in teaching classical and contemporary social science theory and methods. Successful applicants will teach in our team-taught introductory core course Social Science: Understanding Culture, Society and Behaviour. In addition, successful applicants will also teach 1 or 2 electives of their own design that contribute to our cluster’s teaching mission as a HASS cluster within an engineering and design university.

Candidates who can contribute through teaching and research to our Minor Degree program in Design, Technology, and Society—a design-focused variant of Science, Technology, and Society studies (STS)—are especially encouraged to apply.
