We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Navigation Communication Engineer to join our client team. In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship including makers to develop your skills in the field of navigation communication engineering. You will work closely with our experienced engineers to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of navigation communication systems.

• Installation, Servicing, troubleshooting, and re-commissioning of old or existing Marine Navigation system. Equipment’s like Radars, Speedlogs, Gyros, Auto Pilot & Steering Systems, ECDIS, Echosounder, GMDSS, GPS, Navtex, MFHF, UHF, Autopilot, AIS, and other related products.
• Should be able to work and deliver independently and contactable 24x7
• Willingness to travel at short notice as per vessel schedule and the regions (24/7)
• Should work together and coordinate well with other department like Sales, TECH Support, IT team, remote support team,

• Minimum Diploma/Graduate Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
• Strong interest in navigation communication systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and equipment

Programmed have exciting opportunities in the Rockhampton Region QLD for Civil Construction Traineeships specialising in Road Construction and Maintenance, Bridge Construction and/or Plant operations.


Throughout the traineeships you will be hosted with a major Civil Construction company, RoadTek whom provide excellent mentoring, training and encourages teamwork and innovation within their business. RoadTek provides transport infrastructure solutions throughout Queensland as a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).



Whilst engaged as a Construction Trainee you will be required to work outdoors and at times in a challenging environment being hot, dirty and dusty, rotating day/night shift on a roster basis. Working in Civil construction can be a physically demanding industry so it is essential you can meet these requirements before applying for these positions. Excellent above award pay rate with potentially overtime penalty rates.



Undertaking one of these traineeships you could learn, but not limited to, the following:




Learn to Construct and Rehabilitate Roads and Road Furniture
Learn to Construct and Maintain Bridges/Structures
Plan and organise work
Carry out measurements and calculations
Read, interpret plans & specifications
Use hand and power tools
Potential to obtain plant/machinery accredited tickets
Control the work methods to ensure that construction work is carried out in an efficient and compliant manner
Comply with safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment and to ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation
Ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to complete a Nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in Civil Construction - Either Road Construction/Maintenance, Bridge Construction/Maintenance or Plant operations pathway





Mandatory Requirements




OHS Construction White Card essential prior to commencement
Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport
Flexible to work days and potentially night works
Flexible to work away on a roster/rotation
Strong commitment to complete Traineeship
Must be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative





Other Requirements




Passion for 'hands on work' and a genuine desire to work in the Civil construction Industry
Demonstrate previous manual labouring skills
Motivated and willing to learn with a positive self-starter attitude
Competent numeracy & literacy skills with Year 10 High school certificate
Proven experience working within a team environment
Commitment to complete theory/written and practical components of the qualification
