The Opportunity:

Our growing Audit and Advisory division is seeking experienced and collaborative Audit Intermediate to join their team!

Working within a young, dynamic and collaborative team, you will work closely with the Directors, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio specialising in Owner Managed Businesses, Small to Mid-Cap ASX Listed entities, large proprietary companies, Australian subsidiaries of foreign owned groups and Not-For-Prof its operating in various industries including Health, Aged Care and Community Services, Professional Services, Wholesale and Retail, Property and Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and Technology.  

You will be responsible for:

* Working closely with Audit Managers and Directors on all phases of the engagement
* Liaising directly with a broad range of clients ranging from ASX listed and large proprietary companies to SME’s on all aspects of the audit engagement
* Evaluating and documenting the control environment and internal controls clients have in place
* Review and preparation of financial reports in accordance with relevant reporting frameworks
* Preparing audit reports
* Actively contributing to training and development of more junior team members within the division

We are looking for someone with:
* 2+ years Audit advisory experience
* A relevant university degree
* CA Qualifications preferred
* Excellent technical knowledge of Audit standards and Corporations Law
* The ability to manage a busy workload together with a strong client service focus
* The ability to effectively gain the co-operation of others in the execution of work tasks
* Experience in preparing Financial reports under relevant reporting frameworks

We have a fantastic leadership opportunity for an experience Audit Manager to join our fast growing Audit division.  We have teams in both Sydney CBD and Parramatta, and are open to you working in either, or both, whichever is your preference.  

You will be working directly with the Partners, taking ownership of an existing portfolio including mature privately-owned businesses, quality not-for-profit entities, as well as small to medium sized listed and unlisted public companies, with a focus on providing guidance and mentorship to a team of highly talented individuals. 

You will be a people focused individual, who will maintain and continue to build close client relationships, actively pursuing new business opportunities and continually reviewing and improving our audit methodology and practices as well as overseeing the delivery of first-class service that includes audit and audit related services including all aspects of the statutory audit process including; assistance in planning of audit assignments, including assessments of business and related risks; and execution of assignments.

A little bit about You:

As a true leader, we are not only looking for a driven and motivated individual who wants to drive their own career to the next level, but also someone who relishes the opportunity to guide and develop more junior team members. 

You will have excellent technical knowledge of local and international audit standards; IFRS; experience with auditing large proprietary and small cap publicly listed companies; sound understanding of internal control requirements for accounting and computer systems.

You will have approximately 5+ years experience and be CA, ACA or ACCA qualified, and possess a degree in Commerce, Economics or similar discipline, majoring in Accounting or Business is essential.

• Understanding of merger and acquisition advisory
• Understanding or experience in capital raisings including reparation of investigating accountant's reports
• Previous exposure in interpreting complex financial models
• Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong organisational and project management skills

• Post graduate qualifications- Master of Applied Finance, or equivalent

An exciting opportunity has presented for a talented individual to join our Audit Division.

With an existing portfolio including mature privately-owned businesses, quality not-for-profit entities, as well as small to medium sized listed and unlisted public companies, your focus will be to provide leadership for the team of high calibre and collaborative individuals. 

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Supervisor to join our growing Audit & Assurance division.



Get involved with:

Executing end to end External Audit for various clients, both private and listed companies, including identifying and reporting financial risks
Ensuring accuracy of information contained in financial reports and compliance with statutory requirements
Examining operating costs and organisations’ income and expenditure
Providing Financial advice on business structures, plans and operations
Liaising with financial institutions to establish funds management arrangements
Evaluating the design effectiveness of clients’ internal controls and testing and evaluating control activities, including revenue cycle, property, plant and equipment, construction in progress, purchasing cycle, payroll cycle and period- end financial reporting
Evaluating and responding to fraud risk, and the risk of maternal misstatement due to fraud involving management override controls
Providing recommendations to clients regarding improvements to internal controls
Appraising cash flow and financial risk and capital investment projects
Conducting financial investigations, preparing expert reports, and advising of matters such as purchase and sale of businesses, mergers and acquisitions, restructures, financial modelling, due diligence and capital financing, insolvency and taxation
Preparing financial statements of presentation to management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies.
Assisting in the preparation of tenders and business proposals
Management of client expectations and attendance at client meetings
Management of WIP and client billing processes
Assisting Directors in monitoring team budgets and individual team members performance
The management of workflows for a team of people
Identifying and resolving technical issue


The role will suit someone with:

Can oversee the delivery of first-class service
Has completed a degree in Commerce, Economics or similar discipline, majoring in Accounting or Business is essential
Is CA, ACA or ACCA qualified 
Has exceptional knowledge of local and international audit standards, IFRS
Has approximately 4+ yrs experience working in the profession, locally or internationally
