The Finance Executive/Accountant will assist in providing financial and administrative support to colleagues and stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate must have a good knowledge for finance and accounting work, is meticulous and has a high level of numeracy as well as excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities:

· Accurately record all financial transactions

· Knowledge and experience in full set of bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Preparing detailed general ledger, profit & loss and balance sheet statements

· Processing invoices, billing and following up of payments

· Performing bank reconciliation

· Assisting in preparing budgets and financial forecasts

· Participating in financial audits

· Assisting with the implementation of financial policies

· Any other accounting-related matters as needed

· Provide administrative assistance and coverage when required

· Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

· Diploma in Accountancy/Business/Finance and up to two (2) years of relevant working experience

· Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures

• Lead in the review of transaction documents such as prospectus, due diligence reports, accountant’s reports and marketing documents such as pitch books and newsletters.
• Liaise and cultivate relationships with clients, professional parties and regulatory authorities to work towards successful completion of transactions.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy/Business/Finance
• Good command of English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with clients and staff which are mainly English and Mandarin speaking
• Able to travel for work assignments when required
• Management and coordination of junior staff across teams
• Experience in equity sales is a plus

SAC Capital has a requirement for an Assistant Manager/Manager, Equities Research.

SAC Capital Equities Research is an independent outfit that deep-dives into the analysis and recommendation of small to mid-cap SGX-listed companies, an often ignored space among investors. Our small to mid-cap focus also complements other business aspects of the firm.

The incumbent plays a key role in overseeing and building our equities research team and supporting our clients and business units. The responsibilities include:

• overseeing the department/team members and/or publishing notes and equity research reports;
• play a lead role in formulating and justifying our opinions on investment strategies to both internal and external stakeholders;
• contribute to periodic analytical assignments including assisting in equity recommendations for managed funds, market and stock performance commentaries;
• oversee firm research related events including seminars, roadshows and other firm events;
• handle ad-hoc client enquiries and undertake other administrative, research and/or analytical work as required.

Qualifications

• A passion for investing and for helping investors make better investment decisions;
• Degree in Finance/Business or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, with 2 – 3 years in a supervisory role;
• A keen knowledge of financial markets that has been developed both personally and professionally;
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills;
• Strong knowledge of the macro and micro environment ;
• Strong analytical and interpretation ability;
• Superior verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to think and write creatively. Chinese language skills are viewed favourably;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Proactive in building effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders (including listed companies, investors and authorities) and acting as a representative of Company;
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Involvement in broadcasting/debating/theatre/performing arts will be an advantage
