What you’ll be doing

You will work within the EBS team, in a full stack DevOps role, which comprises of the full software delivery lifecycle from discovery through to design, build, deploy and run/optimize. You’ll work closely with the product owner, architect(s), and scrum master in order to bring new functionality and technical improvements to market. What you’ll be doing…
- Provision, oversight, and governance of expediting scope per programme(s) assigned.
- Providing assurance that the Project’s established risk-based approach to expediting is being upheld, and that support levels within scope are being monitored and managed effectively.
- Provide principal point of contact for Expediting Supervisors per programme(s) assigned.
- To manage risk, perform schedule analysis, and ultimately ensure that schedule critical equipment and materials are suitably prioritised, and their status reported through to Project stakeholders.
- Provide accurate manufacturing status information on supported contract scope, ensuring full visibility to all stakeholders.
- Support creation and implementation of delivery contract mitigation plans.
- To perform expediting escalation visits as required either at critical HPC Contractors premises, or at various hub working locations (globally).
- Responsible for troubleshooting supply chain issues within the team and representing the group at internal and external meetings.
- Able to scope, structure or make best use of existing performance metrics and KPIs for monitoring supplier performance and schedule risk.
- Develop and evaluate new and existing expediting support requirements, and report such into the Expediting Manager.
- Provide a key interface between Expediting, assigned programme(s) and other stakeholders.
- Expedite Contract Partner process assurance.
- Expediting Visit Report governance.
- Represent HPC Expediting at key programme monthly delivery performance meetings.
- Assist the Expediting Manager by providing cover at various Senior Leadership Team, ONR or Logistics meetings as required. Who you are…

- Experienced with a track record of collaborative working within successful project teams.
- Extensive understanding of the EDF nuclear supply chain is essential.
- Extensive experience on Capital Works projects for Process Plants, preferably in the Nuclear, Power, Chemical or Oil and Gas or industries.

What you’ll be doing…


- Developing performance measures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with project managers/directors and construction contractors to evaluate project and contractor performance and risks.
- Managing and promoting the environmental reporting system at HPC to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
- Leading the compilation and assurance of project sustainability reporting for corporate reporting, including ESOS, SECR, CSRD and related requirements.
- Representing NNB on sustainability issues at an EDF corporate level, contributing to the development of company positions, policies, and initiatives, and ensuring implementation within NNB.
- Supporting sustainability communications and engagement campaigns in coordination with the NNB Communications team for internal and external communications.

Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:

- Experience in embedding sustainability into large infrastructure or complex industrial development projects, with a focus on large construction projects being advantageous.
- Strong skills in data management, supporting the managing the measurement and review of sustainability KPIs. Experience in data tools such as PowerBI would be beneficial.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain sustainability strategies and objectives. Communicating those ideas and themes will be a key responsibility of the role.
- Demonstrated capability to drive behaviour change through influencing and making a business case for action with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ideally, a degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline with elements of sustainability or sustainable construction.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to be part of one of the most challenging and exciting projects in the UK as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in this country. We are building, commissioning and preparing to operate the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK, providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. Across the two-year programme, the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Graduate scheme will consist of a series of STEM placements at the Hinkley Point C site and our Bridgewater and Aztec West office. Throughout these placements, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across our Environment, Nuclear Safety, Engineering, Radiological Protection and Operational teams. You will work with technical experts to ensure you develop a strong technical basis throughout the programme. These placements will provide you with a breadth of experience alongside world class training, which will prepare you for a permanent STEM based role upon completion of the scheme.

The Opportunity

Join us as an Area Manager, England West and be a core member of our EDF Renewables (EDF- R) team. You will lead the teams delivering the operations and maintenance of EDF-Rs England West portfolio, part of our Asset Operations Team which manages, operates and maintains more than 1.5 GW of existing renewable energy assets in the UK including 35 onshore windfarms. This role brings the opportunity for growth as EDF-R continues to develop new projects to meet its ambition of 10GW by 2035.
The successful candidate will be accountable for maximising the performance of some of EDF-Rs largest onshore windfarms seeking to achieve high levels of availability, optimised against market conditions whilst ensuring safe, quality and cost-efficient execution of all tasks. In this role you will lead a team of technicians and external contractors, as required, to implement planned and breakdown maintenance and to optimise the maintenance activities so as to maximise asset performance.

What you’ll be doing day to day..

What do you need to be great at this role?

You will lead and manage a potentially remote and diverse team, working closely with selected internal and external partners for all activities on the Area Windfarms in line with the application of and compliance to company procedures which cover safety rules, quality of work, planning of work, optimisation of maintenance and optimisation of resources, all with the objective of maximising asset availability. This will be heavily dependent on people management and maximising the performance of your team through coaching, leadership and setting key objectives. Leveraging relationships and support across the business matrix will be critical to success.
You will need to effectively manager short term and long-term objectives to achieve sustained high levels of asset performance. Short terms actions will address assets “on stop” to recover generation, whilst long term objectives will seek to ensure all activities are planned and systematically executed.
Assets operate on a 24 x 7 basis and responsiveness of you and the team to drive performance 24 x 7 will be critical.
Your Skills

- Strong understanding and experience of optimising the performance of teams, plant and equipment.
- Strong at managing and coaching people and to build a team that is committed to drive business performance.
- Strong, proven experience in maintenance, establishing/managing internal and external teams to effectively deliver maintenance works in a safe, quality and cost-effective manner.
- Excellent at building successful relationships to drive the business objectives.
- Qualification in electrical and/or mechanical disciplines to NVQ3 level/HNC/HND (or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience). Engineering background desirable.
- Able to fully understand and work to UK Wind Turbine Safety Rules, and in industry standard High Voltage Operating procedures and safety rules.

- Managing the Contract Baseline Library.
- Owning the procedure for managing changes to baseline contract documentation.
- Supporting document owners in following due process for updates.
- Verifying effective review and challenge processes for document updates.

What you’ll be doing…

You will:


- Drive the delivery of contract activities, ensuring they are safe, timely, and within budget, meeting business and technical requirements. Monitor progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget, providing key stakeholders with insightful reports.
- Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within your contract or package, identifying risks, facilitating resolutions, and updating the program budget.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of schedules for the contract or package, aligning them with overall project schedules. Escalate discrepancies to the Project Controls Director.
- Guarantee the delivery of Contractual Milestones and List of Deliverables (LOD) related to the scope of work.

Who you are…

In this role, we’re looking for you to demonstrate a track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.

With this, your management of developing engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery, Multi-discipline EPCM projects, Procurement and management of complex contracts, Control of costs / risks will be paramount in this role. Other requirements for this role also include:


- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Leadership and its application in complex projects. This, in turn, should link with holding excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
- Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation. Proficient in the use of estimating scheduling, programming and risk tools.
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment. Including NEC and FIDIC contracts.


Previous experience of working within a MEH background and experience of working in construction within a nuclear setting would be desirable however, not essential. We’re looking for you to demonstrate your quality of delivery and have a “right first time” approach to your work.

The Opportunity...

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

As a Civil building lead, you will be responsible for the civil design of one of the buildings, under the supervision and support of the Civil team lead. As such, you will be responsible for meeting the project requirements in terms of quality, program, and cost for their technical scope. You may have a small team of 1 or 2 civil engineers to manage.

Several positions are available, some on HPC and SZC project, with similar responsibilities but in different project contexts.

For the positions as part of the HPC integrated team in EPR-E (ITB), the Civil Building lead will be embedded in one of the three building teams in ITB. This building team, led by the corresponding Building Manager, is a multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of the design of a specific scope of buildings within the Nuclear Island. The Civil Engineer will be part of a civil team, led by the Civil team lead under the Building Manager.

For the positions in SZC project, the Civil Building lead will operate under the supervision of the Civil team lead and the Senior Civil Architect. As opposed to HPC, no multi-disciplinary teams are created per building, however the Civil Building lead will have interfaces with other disciplines located in other areas of the SZC project organisation.

What you’ll be doing…


- Receiving, analysing, and verifying the consistency of the input data.
- Producing deliverables for which they are responsible.
- Performing technical verifications of civil engineering design notes, models, and drawings.
- Contributing to the surveillance of the anchorages designed by the equipment suppliers and CDM reviews, creating and maintaining the Design Risk Register.

- Coordinating with civil designers and other stakeholders.
- Preparing and chairing progress meetings and managing many different stakeholders involved in the engineering design sequence.
- Analysing, implementing, and monitoring design modifications requested by the various engineering teams.
- Anticipating and raising alerts on technical open points.
- Contributing to project and contract risk registers.
- Preparing design change papers and their presentation in change committees.
- Assisting internal contract management teams in the administration of the relevant contracts.
- Identifying and raising risks impacting program and cost for your scope of activity.
- Managing workloads and associated resources.

In addition, for SZC positions:

- Supporting the preparation of technical documentation for procurement, jointly with the Contract Engineering Lead (CEL).
- Supporting the client –SZC Co
- on behalf of the CEL for the coordination of technical discussions during the procurement phase prior to the signature of the contract with the civil designer.
- Responsibility for the replication of the HPC design to SZC.

Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:

- Bachelor / master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering.
- Knowledge of or experience of civil engineering design contracts in the nuclear sector or other heavily regulated industry (such as oil & gas, rail).
- Experience in nuclear engineering and new nuclear build projects, HPC experience will be very advantageous.
- Knowledge of EPR engineering process.
- Understanding and implementation of project engineering procedures.

The Opportunity…

We are looking for an OT Cyber Security Specialist to join our Nuclear Security Branch, as part of our Nuclear Services Business.

Nuclear Services is a specialist technical area, and we bring together technical capabilities to support the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear new build projects and the existing Nuclear Operations operating stations and decommissioning sites.

As an OT Cyber Security Specialist, you will support the OT Cyber Requirements Manager to improve and assure the security of Operational Technology (OT) assets across EDF’s nuclear power station fleet.

You will work with other members of the team to provide support relating to network, system and device security, including input to governance, design review, risk assessment and incident response.

What you’ll be doing…


- Supporting the OT Cyber Requirements Manager in the implementation and assurance of standards with Information Security communications and in improving the security culture of the organisation.
- Understanding OT functionality within the context of Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, Safety Cases, and Nuclear Site Security Plans.
- Understanding and advising on compliance with relevant regulatory and EDF Energy policy and Company Specification requirements. Escalating non-conformances as appropriate.
- Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with on-station IT/OT Cyber & Information Security Station Leads, PCSSs, IT Services Team Leaders, Site Heads of Security, and other key personnel.
- Promoting Information Security policy, procedures and practice to staff, contractors and 3rd parties, particularly at the Nuclear Operations fleet power stations.
- Investigation, coordination and reporting of Cyber/Information Security incidents as directed by the OT Cyber Requirements Manager, ensuring incidents are followed up and addressed appropriately.
- Assisting with the development of strategies and solutions to mitigate identified Information Security risks and to assure the security of OT.
- Performing formal Information Security risk assessments to ensure that risks posed to the Nuclear Operations environment are correctly identified and appropriate mitigations selected.
- Providing additional support necessary to enable Information Security activities across Nuclear Operations in support of the wider Information Security team as directed by the OT Cyber Requirements Manager and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).



Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:


- HND/Degree in a relevant subject.
- A working knowledge of cyber security standards and frameworks (e.g. NIST or IEC62443), and some experience of applying these to an operational role. With an understanding or willingness to learn about safety engineering.
- Experience working on complex projects.
- The ability to work on own initiative, build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders as part of a wider information and cyber security team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and an ability to think critically and logically in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience of influencing stakeholders to bring about change.
- Understanding OT functionality within the context of Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, Safety Cases, and Nuclear Site Security Plans is desirable.
- Relevant cybersecurity qualifications such as Security+, CISSP, GICSP, IEC62443 fundamentals or equivalents are desirable.

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen at Torness Power Station to join our highly skilled and motivated Engineering Department as a System Health Engineer.

The Opportunity

The Electrical System Engineer role will be responsible for the System Health of the plant, developing short to long term improvement plans, outage scope and defining the maintenance policy on their assigned systems. You will also actively participate in the work planning process providing engineering technical input as required ensuring prioritisation of work is based on the importance of equipment and its potential impact on plant performance.

All roles within Engineering are vital to ensuring safe and reliable operation during our journey through Generation, Defuelling and Decommissioning.

We’re offering a salary of £40,069 – £84,892 that apply with our terms and conditions covered by the EDF Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be between £40,069 and £71,779 dependent on your existing salary, competence, experiences and qualification. What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll carry out the following roles and responsibilities as a systems engineer:

Be a responsible engineer for Electrical plant areas and act as the technical conscience for the assigned systems.

- Gain expertise in the assigned system(s) and provide technical advice.
- Ensure important equipment is identified and that correct preventative maintenance programmes are in place to prevent unanticipated equipment failures.
- Manage activities that are to be carried out and completed with full regard to site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and location directives, procedures and safety rules.
- Monitor and review system performance to identify degrading trends.
- Identify improvements on the assigned system(s) and work with delivery partners to make these happen
- Determine required actions and investments, including specifying, upgrading and deploying new components, systems and technologies.


Who you are

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will have a nuclear safety focus in all activities and responsibilities undertaken, you will also need to maintain knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Liaising with peers in other engineering groups within the fleet you will be required to share best practises and to continually improve local and fleet performance.


- You will have an Electrical Engineering background with relevant experience in industry as an electrical engineer.
- As a minimum, entrants will have a relevant HNC (or equivalent) Candidates with a relevant Degree may have an advantage.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a background in Electrical Distribution Systems with experience of managing some or all of the following:

- Grid Interface
- Medium Voltage Switchgear
- Low Voltage Switchgear
- Electrical Protection (in particular experience with electromechanical relays)
- Oil Filled Transformers
- Large Electrical Drives
- UPS and Battery Systems
- Lightning Protection
- Earthing Systems
- Small Power and Lighting including BS7671 Periodic Inspection & Testing.


- Communication, interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, organisational skills.

As a Project Manager focussed on delivery, you will manage an area, building, contract or package of work supporting delivery of the Permanent Site Infrastructure portfolio. What you’ll be doing…

- Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces to the other elements of the programme.
- Assist in securing the required resources to meet their project requirements, promptly identifying any personnel shortfalls or issues within their project team.
- Ensure that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual.
- Anticipate, manage, and resolve risks and issues within the contact or package. Identify risks and facilitate the resolution of all issues raised, develop, and update the programme budget, and escalate any issues to the Senior Project Manager
- Undertake all contract administration activities (with support of a Commercial Manager) including variations, claims, technical queries and instructions.
- Provide sufficient oversight of the Tier 1’s supply chain to ensure Nuclear Safety is maintained.
- Resolution of issues/ NCR’s/ etc during the manufacturing process to ensure quality and schedule are maintained.
- Management of all change to the contract including
- scope definition, business justification and implementation of agreed change in line with associated governance.
- Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders and executing the project or PEP strategies within their contract or package of work.
- Drive the delivery of the package activities to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements. Monitor and manage the progress of the programme - track progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget.
- Apply the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM) and the principles of Continuous Improvement.
- Ensure that contract or package contractual requirements are fulfilled. Who you are…

- Degree and chartered status in construction, engineering, physics, or other relevant discipline.
- Professional Qualification in Project Management such as APM PPQ or other recognised qualification.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Project Management and working knowledge and management experience, with a track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security, and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
- Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks, and have proven successful experience in engaging multi-level stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and advisors in a regulated environment. Including NED or FIDIC contracts.
- Demonstrated success in managing and/or developing:o Engineering design, contract, and field execution strategies for project delivery.o Multi-discipline EPCM Projects including HVACo Working knowledge and management experience of construction activities.o Procurement and management of complex contracts.o Control of costs, risk, schedule, and change.o Management of commercial claims and associated negotiation experience.
- Able to demonstrate strong financial management, change management and facilitation skills. And proficient in the use of estimating scheduling, programming, and risk/management tools.
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Demonstrated experience of managing major projects from concept to handover, throughout the project lifecycle within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security, and environmental responsibility.

The Opportunity...

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.

As a Technical Coordination Engineer, you will ensure the optimisation of technical activities by providing support to all engineering teams. You will be establishing a strong link between configuration management activities at the project level and the specific building or discipline you are working on.

In this role you will be coordinating technical aspects of design changes, open-points, and interfaces to ensure consistency across stakeholders and participating in various project committees to facilitate communication and decision-making. Additionally, you’ll be managing experience feedback from previous projects and reporting progress to the team manager.
