Clinical Nurse Lead / Deputy Manager
Woodside Hall Nursing Home is a 41 bed purpose built home in a beautiful setting on the Isle of Wight. The Home has a CQC rating of "Good" with "outstanding" for "Care".
This role is a clinical role with leadership responsibilities. You will take charge of the Home on shift and also provide on-call cover as part of a rota. You will be responsible for all aspects of the Home's provision of Nursing care, with the support of the Registered Manager. The successful candidate will be confident in their own clinical skills and be able to prioritise and delegate to other members of the Nursing team and Senior Carers. The role will also include induction and supervision of Registered Nurses and Senior HCA’s.
This role will suit a confident Registered Nurse with prior experience in a leadership role or a nurse who is looking for career progression in a clinical role. They will be passionate about palliative care. We will support with maintaining and further development of clinical and leadership skills.
The successful applicant may have nursing home experience or have experience of acute settings, but will enjoy sharing their skills with others and support management with identifying the training needs of our Registered Nurses.
You will be computer literate and confident with the use of EMAR and Care Management software. You will be able to write effective care plans, complete mental capacity assessments, CQC notifications and Safeguarding referrals. You will be able to demonstrate competence in medication management and take the lead for medication management in the Home.
This is a full time position, 36 or 42 hours a week contract available. Paid breaks, excellent overtime rates and weekend supplements. You will be flexible and available to work alternative weekends. You will be required to work occasional night shifts to cover annual leave. Shifts are 7.30 to 13.30, 13.30 to 19.30 and 7.30 to 19.30
