About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented ITSM and Operations Audit Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, security, and compliance of our IT service management (ITSM) processes and operational procedures within the banking and finance industry. You will leverage your technical expertise and strong communication skills to conduct audits, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of ITSM processes, focusing on areas like incident management, change management, problem management, and service request fulfillment.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of operational controls and risk management practices as they pertain to IT services and data security.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and management to develop and implement process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Document audit findings and recommendations in clear, concise, and professional reports.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in ITSM and operational risk management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT audit program by identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining processes.

Qualifications/Skills

• BSc or MSc in IT-related subject
• Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks, including ITIL principles (ITIL certification)
• In-depth knowledge of IT security best practices and relevant banking/finance industry regulations
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools

As the Accounting Policy and Transaction Support Expert, you will work within the Global Controllership function with a series of responsibilities. You will approve accounting treatment for large and/or complex transactions. You will aslo ensure that all global financial policies are U.S. GAAP compliant, maintained to incorporate new accounting literature or changes to our operating model, and are applied on a consistent basis across our Enterprise function. Part of your role will also be to support the CFO, Controller, Assistant Controller and Director of Accounting Policy with responses to FASB, IASB, SEC and others regarding proposed accounting rules changes.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with finance personnel at all levels and Accenture executives to understand the facts and circumstances of the particular transaction/situation and provide feedback and advice on appropriate accounting treatment
• Review and confirm U.S. GAAP compliance on defined financial transactions which require Corporate Controllership approval
• Conduct accounting research and compliance activities, acting as a technical accounting resource, keeping current with all new account pronouncements and implementation of appropriate policy and process changes, ensuring integrity of consistent financial reporting across Global entities.
• Support training and knowledge sharing for finance and non-finance personnel to ensure a base understanding of U.S. GAAP requirements and updates, as required
• Support Accenture management and respond to potential FASB, SEC and other changes in accounting literature or reporting requirements
• Work closely with policy owners to ensure Accenture policies are clear, accurate and current with respect to U.S. GAAP requirements
• Research and document accounting requirements for new operational areas.
• Work closely with business development teams, tax and legal departments to analyze significant revenue transactions ensuring proper accounting
• Participate in cross-functional teams to bring financial expertise to key corporate objectives
• Support CFO, Controller, Assistant Controller and Director of Accounting Policy with other corporate projects as they arise.

Requirements

• CPA or Chartered Accountant certified
• Bachelor of Business Administration, Masters in Finance (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years Finance experience (Mixture of public accounting, industry experience that includes SEC reporting or technical accounting, and/or Accenture experience )
• Minimum 8 years U.S. GAAP related experience (Revenue Recognition for Consulting and Outsourcing Services; Technical Accounting Research; SEC Requirements; U.S. GAAP Income Statement and Balance Sheet)
• Willing to travel and work overseas (up to 20% travel possible)
