Pros: As a legal consultant, you get solid project fees here. They do cover some essential benefits for contract roles, which is a plus. It's fine for short-term gigs in the London office.
Cons: The pay structure for some contract legal roles isn't super competitive. It feels like there's not much room to negotiate, especially for longer engagements. Benefits packages aren't as comprehensive as permanent Big Law positions.
Advice to Management: Look into more transparent pay scales for different types of legal roles and improve the benefits offerings for consultants.

Pros: It's decent for getting experience with different clients in the legal consulting industry. As a Project Lawyer, I got to work on some interesting projects. The hybrid work setup was a plus when I was actively engaged.
Cons: Job security is tough because most roles are contract-based. There's no guarantee of another project right after one ends, which makes planning hard. Sometimes you feel a bit on your own finding the next gig.
Advice to Management: Try to create more continuity for Project Lawyers between client engagements. It'd really help with retention and overall morale if there was clearer guidance or pathways for the next role.
