Hybrid Model is Decent, But Client Projects Rule
Pros: As a Junior Consultant in the Chicago office, I've found the hybrid work model here to be pretty good. It's nice to have the option to work remotely 2-3 days a week, which really helps with personal appointments and avoiding rush hour.
Cons: The main issue is that flexibility in this consulting industry varies a lot with client demands. If you're on a tough client project, you'll be onsite a lot, and that remote option just isn't there.
Advice to Management: Management should try to implement more consistent policies around remote work, even when big client projects are in full swing. It'd really help with planning your week as a consultant.

Decent Start, But Career Progression is Slow
Pros: You get decent exposure to different client projects right out of college, which is a plus for entry-level consulting roles. The hybrid work model helps with balancing office time and WFH days too.
Cons: Career growth really plateaus after your first year or two. There isn't a clear path for advancement, especially for consultants not directly on major, long-term engagements. It feels like you're stuck.
Advice to Management: YCL Consult needs to invest more in a structured career development program. Give Junior Consultants clear milestones and training opportunities to actually move up.
