Hybrid work is pretty standard here
Pros: They offer a hybrid schedule, which is great for some roles. For us Account Managers in the Atlanta office, it often meant 2-3 days WFH if you could manage client visits well. It's better than being onsite 100% of the time.
Cons: But you still felt pretty tied to the office for a large corporate environment. It's tough when unexpected client meetings pop up and you have to scramble back. The industrial packaging and manufacturing industry isn't known for being super flexible overall.
Advice to Management: Consider trusting employees more with remote work options for roles that don't absolutely require daily onsite presence. This would definitely help with employee retention and attracting new talent in this competitive market.

Stable Job, Slow Career Path
Pros: This company is super stable in the industrial packaging industry. It's good for job security, and I've learned a ton about managing large accounts. The benefits package is pretty solid too, which helps.
Cons: Honestly, career growth for sales roles like mine isn't great. Internal promotions are rare, and there isn't much structure for moving up. It feels like you can get stuck in your current role for a long time at this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Really look at creating clear pathways for career progression. Employees want to see opportunities to move up, especially in sales and account management within the industrial packaging sector.

Pay is Okay, Benefits Need Modernizing
Pros: The base salary for a Production Supervisor here is actually pretty competitive in the industrial packaging industry. You get a solid 401k match, which is a big plus. It's a stable corporate environment.
Cons: Health insurance plans are kinda pricey, especially for families. It feels like they haven't updated the full benefit package in years, so it's not as robust as it could be. Raises don't always keep up with inflation.
Advice to Management: Seriously look into updating the health insurance options and increasing the overall benefits package to be more competitive. Attracting new talent means better benefits.
