Job Description
1. Investment Strategy and Decision Support:
- Collaborate with the fund manager to formulate investment strategies by conducting in-depth quantitative analysis.
- Interpret complex financial data to provide valuable insights that aid investment decision-making.
- Actively manage portfolios to maximize performance while diligently assessing and mitigating associated risks.
- Evaluate potential transactions through comprehensive market research, financial analysis, cashflow modelling, and investment feasibility studies.
- Offer recommendations to the fund manager based on your analyses and insights.
2. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly reports on managed portfolios for both internal stakeholders and investors.
- Conduct variance analysis, comparing underwritten expectations with the latest financial reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
3. Mergers and Acquisitions Support:
- Assist in due diligence procedures for potential mergers and acquisitions, focusing on assessing the financial position and Net Asset Value (NAV) of target companies and assets.
- Forecast acquisition costs and related expenses, ensuring accurate financial planning for post-acquisition operations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to secure the necessary funding through sources and uses modelling.
- Play a crucial role in the preparation of investment and management documents as well as legal documentation for M&A activities.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, with a preference for finance, accounting, economics, or related disciplines
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in direct real estate investments or fund management
- Showcase advanced financial modelling for investment analysis
- Proficient in identifying and resolving critical issues arising from sensitivity reviews of financial models, including conducting in-depth research to support assumptions and inputs
- Proactive self-starter with a positive outlook and a strong work ethic
- Ownership mentality, dedicated to delivering high-quality and punctual work
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset, meticulous, and well-organised, prioritising meeting project milestones
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
