Culture is Decent, But Could Improve
Pros: Working as a Junior Software Engineer at Skud Group had some good points. I really liked the team I worked with directly; everyone in the Austin, TX office was pretty supportive. It's a startup environment, so there's a lot of chances to learn if you seek them out.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit cliquey outside of your immediate team. Communication from upper management isn't always clear, especially when things change fast. Sometimes it feels like there's no real direction for career growth beyond your initial role.
Advice to Management: Try to foster a more inclusive company culture across all teams. Clearer communication about company vision and individual career paths would really help employees stay engaged.

Good Start, Limited Growth for Marketing Roles
Pros: I really liked the initial learning curve here; it's a solid place to get your feet wet as a Marketing Coordinator. The hybrid work environment was also a huge plus, giving me some flexibility. You learn the basics of digital marketing well.
Cons: The biggest issue is career growth; there's just not much upward mobility for marketing roles here. I felt like I hit a wall after a year or two, and promotional paths aren't clear. It's tough to move up without a manager leaving.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to define clearer career paths for individual contributors, especially in marketing. Create more opportunities for internal promotion instead of always hiring externally for senior roles.

Decent pay for a corporate gig
Pros: The base salary for a Marketing Specialist is pretty competitive, especially for the Austin, TX market. I felt fairly compensated for my day-to-day responsibilities in the corporate office. Performance bonuses are also a nice touch, when they happen.
Cons: The health insurance plans are just okay, and the premiums feel really high for what you get. Also, the 401k match isn't great, which is a bummer for long-term financial planning. There's not much flexibility on benefit choices either.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the health insurance offerings and increasing the 401k match. Better benefits would definitely boost morale and help with talent retention in the long run.
