About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems using Python, designing and implementing APIs, services, and integrations that are critical to our platform's performance and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create robust architectures, optimize processes, and ensure the highest quality of code. Your work will directly impact the stability and efficiency of our systems, supporting millions of users across our platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, modern backend development practices, and taking ownership of technical solutions. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess several years of experience in software development with Python, demonstrating a strong understanding of backend architectures and modern development practices. You should have a proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, with a focus on scalability and performance. Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Django, and familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, containerization tools like Docker, and monitoring solutions such as Grafana is essential. Additionally, experience working with Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Git-based workflows is required. You should have ownership mentality, technical depth, and enthusiasm for taking responsibility for complex projects. Fluency in German and English (minimum C1 level) is necessary for effective communication within our global team.

As a Senior Python Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining productive Python backend systems, APIs, and integrations that support our platforms' core functionalities.
• Designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance services capable of handling real-world load and traffic.
• Creating clear, pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges, ensuring robustness and future scalability.
• Continuously enhancing testing strategies, test coverage, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD), while optimizing system performance and observability.
• Actively participating in architectural design, system architecture decisions, and technical planning to shape the future direction of our platforms.
• Collaborating closely with team members to develop sustainable, reliable, and efficient systems that meet business needs and technical standards.
