About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Python. Your work will directly impact the stability, performance, and reliability of our core services and APIs, which are critical for our online recruiting platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions, improve existing architectures, and ensure high-quality code and processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex technical challenges in a collaborative environment, with a focus on clean code, stable architectures, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in software development with Python, demonstrating a strong commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability. You should possess a solid understanding of backend development and modern architectural principles. Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Django, as well as databases like PostgreSQL, is essential. Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker, monitoring solutions like Grafana, and Linux environments is required. You should have experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Git-based workflows. Excellent communication skills in German and English (minimum C1 level) are necessary, along with a proactive mindset, ownership mentality, and the ability to think technically while working collaboratively.

Responsibilities

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing robust, scalable Python-based backend systems, APIs, and integrations to support our online recruiting platforms.
• Designing and implementing services that can handle real-world load, ensuring high availability and stability.
• Creating clear, pragmatic solutions for complex technical requirements, balancing innovation with maintainability.
• Continuously enhancing testing strategies, CI/CD processes, deployment workflows, and system performance monitoring.
• Participating actively in architectural decisions, system design, and technical planning to align with business needs.
