About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems using Python, designing APIs, and creating integrations that are reliable and efficient in production environments. Your work will directly impact the core functionalities of our online recruiting platforms, ensuring they operate smoothly under real-world loads. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust architectures, improve existing systems, and implement innovative solutions that meet complex business requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging technical problems, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and system performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in software development with Python, demonstrating a strong commitment to clean code, testing, and system maintainability. You should have a solid understanding of backend development principles and modern architectural patterns. Practical experience with Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, Grafana, and Linux is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Git-based workflows is also required. You should demonstrate ownership mentality, technical depth, and enthusiasm for taking responsibility for complex projects. Excellent communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1 level) are necessary to collaborate effectively within our international team.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing production-ready Python backend systems, APIs, and integrations to support our online recruiting platforms.
• Designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance services capable of handling real-world loads.
• Formulating clear, pragmatic solutions for complex technical challenges, ensuring system robustness and reliability.
• Continuously enhancing testing frameworks, increasing test coverage, and optimizing CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Monitoring and improving system performance, observability, and overall code quality to ensure long-term maintainability.
• Actively participating in architectural discussions, system design, and technical decision-making to shape the future of our platforms.
• Collaborating with team members to foster a culture of sustainable and resilient systems, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior developers.
