About The Role

In this dynamic environment, our Application Development IT Sales Technology department is seeking a Lead Developer (m/w/d) to join our team. This leadership role involves guiding a team of talented developers in the creation and enhancement of our digital solutions. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our applications remain modern, high-performing, and future-proof, supporting the ongoing digital transformation of DVAG. You will oversee the development of microservices and web applications, both on the frontend and backend, driving innovation and efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping scalable architectures, maintaining high-quality code standards, and fostering continuous improvement within your team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the technological landscape of a leading financial services organization and to work on impactful projects that directly benefit our advisors and clients.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, coupled with extensive experience in enterprise application development. Proven expertise in developing complex enterprise applications, especially within cloud-native architectures, is essential. You should have a strong background in leading developer teams, inspiring innovation, and promoting best practices in software engineering. A solid understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, automated testing, and agile methodologies, is expected. Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks based on TypeScript and backend development in Java or Kotlin is required. Additionally, you should demonstrate strong organizational skills, a structured work approach, and the ability to create transparency and accountability within your team.
