About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Developer UI Java Frontend (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team at Karlsruhe INIT GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing the user interface of our Leitstellen-Software, which is crucial for the efficient management of public transportation services. Your work will directly impact the usability and functionality of our applications, ensuring that transportation providers can operate smoothly and effectively. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background in IT, with a relevant university degree or equivalent qualification. You should have extensive experience in Java, JavaFX, and Eclipse RCP development. A strong understanding of software architecture and design principles is highly desirable, as is experience working within cloud environments. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are essential, as collaboration across teams and stakeholders is a core part of the role. Additionally, you should have a passion for solving complex problems, developing creative ideas, and thinking outside the box to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.
- Design and develop the Graphical User Interface (GUI) for our applications, focusing on user-friendliness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define use cases and translate them into functional software components.
- Develop JavaFX components integrated into our Eclipse RCP-based applications, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
- Contribute actively to agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (Scrum methodology).
- Implement and maintain software solutions using technologies such as JavaFX, Eclipse 4 RCP, and EMF.
- Ensure the quality and performance of the software through rigorous testing and code reviews.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into development workflows.
