The Project Engineer will report to the Lead Engineer with a dotted line to the Project Manager.
Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will have strong skills in work-plan development and progress tracking. The Project Engineer will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. You must be an outstanding communicator, exceptional leader and even better strategist. You will also prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Establish application requirements and liaise with stakeholders for documents preparation and compliance to local authority guidelines and regulations but not limited to the Local Council, DOE, DOSH, CIDB, Bomba, TNB, Safety Officer and others prior work commencement.
•Assist site engineer in establishing project plan, objectives, procedures, data collection methodology and performance standards within parameters of corporate policy ensuring compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance.
•Oversee budgetary, scheduling, project databases and reporting to the management channels on regular basis as well as on identification of potential issues that could significantly affect cost or schedule.
•Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Team, Client, Consultant and Contractors to ensure timely project completion within allocated budget whilst adhering to the safety hazards.
•Establish and review engineering drawings, blueprints and specification whilst staying on top of the dynamic design engineering trends and cutting-edge technologies and establish framework with various departments for a seamless collaboration in the biogas environment.
•Coordinate and management of procurement and logistics for construction materials, fabrication items and equipment whilst ensuring their compliance with industry standards.
•Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, site diaries, change orders and quality control measures.
•Walk the talk, train the trainer, attend to punch list, conduct inspection and obtain COA signed by the client to mark end of the biogas project milestone for construction and commissioning phase.
•Review engineering deliverables with project team upon project completion and initiate appropriate corrective actions for future project implementation.
Skills and Qualifications Requirements
•A bachelor’s degree in Bio-Tech / Mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
•3 years of experience as a Project Engineer with excellent project management and supervision skills.
•Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Auto-Cad is a must.
•Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practices is preferred.
•Ability to travel extensively with good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.
